Toyworld, Cang Toys is a subsidiary brand of Toyworld. Toyworld started this one and then passed it over to Cang toys. At least that's how I understand it.

Color wise, I think black upper arms look better. So they match the thigh color and reduce a bit of the yellow. Also change the color of the either the eyes or mouth mask. A metallic light grey is good for the blade too. The whole body looks quite plastic now. It would look much better with metallic paint. But I don't know how the yellow and red turn out then.

 

I was hoping these would be more MP style, not saying toon-accurate but less looking-like-a-toy, you know?

 

I feel these guys look pretty much like the same toy quality as their TFC seacons, no? I don't own those but other than these having more paint accents and maybe more surface detail, it looks like the same sorta matte type plastic surfaces+translucent pieces.
It even looks a bit like the new Satan abominus, but that is more of a glossy plastic and curvier sculpt.
Maybe some were hoping this would have a shinier, painted like MP finish?

 

usually I'm pretty OK with the way these companies do stuff but I have to agree with others here, the face/mask is the wrong color. looks like it yellow on yellow in the cartoon and yellow face with red/orange mask on the toy, but it does look like both toon and toy have yellow eyes. looks like the comic is also yellow on yellow. so, take it for what it is, but a color change would be an improvement.

 

That's actually the reason I like them, as they have a nostalgic zoids/transformers mix that reminds me of those toys I grew up with with more modern articulation. Though I completely understand it not being for everyone. Regarding the colours, i reckon Ferocious will look much cooler together with other team members or better yet when the whole set is complete.He's definitely going to be an odd one out in my collection on his own just now.

 

I found another Transfans weibo user pic here (apologies if it's not new - couldn't see it here anywhere recently), I think the unpainted plastic looks fine given all the line work (nice!) and mechanical detailing! What do you guys think? Looking forward to seeing more pics anyway 

 

Perhaps panel line the perimeter of the eyes on the robot and beast head. I think that would help a bit.

Fantastic! I await your custom job with great interest! I painted MMC Vortex's visor and Maketoys Reflector's arms (decently at best) but that's the limit of my abilities.

 

I think it looks like the Unicorn Gundam got dressed in the dark at a Zoids factory and exploded into the night with sheer, unmitigated fabulousness.

It's awesome and now I have to get it just because it's so ridiculously excessive compared to most 3P offerings right now, and yet "realistic" enough so that it looks almost like a giant robot that marched off of a current-era Gundam Universal Century assembly line. It occupies the space between the endless slog of "Toon Accurate" flat panels and paints that make everything look like rubber and Perfect Effect's dedication to being fine purveyors of Greebleformers.

I actually like this sort of design. Makes the robots look like actual military machines. That said, I'm always on the fence as to whether this is appropriate for certain Transformers. Like, for Earthmode figures that transform into military vehicles it makes some kind of sense. For things like this? I'm not sure. It looks cool, but there's always that annoying thought that there seems to make no sense for them to have this kind of detailing. It'd be one thing if he was covered by glyphs or whatnot, like a tattoo. However, given that this is supposed to be some kind of alien life form, the panels and greebling seem a little unwarranted. I often wonder if this is the equivalent to a dudebro getting a tribal tattoo circa 1995.

I know I'm overthinking it and I'm always willing to set it aside on the rule of cool alone. Still, it never hurts to pull a toy from the shelf and look at it and start wondering about how everything is really supposed to function as is if was some kind of living alien being instead of a pure piloted combat robot.

 

God this sucks. 2020 is here and we still don't have any good Predacon options. It's either this one, where the colors are all wrong, or the Zeta one, where even if they wind up ever doing it, you're dealing with this bizarre interpretation with six bots instead of five and if their Aerialbots are any indication, the individual limb bots may be of dubious quality.

The best option might be to buy these ones and paint 'em, ugh.

I am gonna go with, feet and massive shoulder mounted cannon, but I could be wrong. Either way, it looks awesome, and I can't wait to get it.
