They're actually different sizes though. The Megs one is substantially smaller.
I'm almost positive it's meant to go with the purple pistol he shot Prime with, they just didn't account for the pistols front sight. I have two Agamemnon's and therefore two purple pistols, so I may try filing off the front sight on one so it can use that blast effect.
Huh, I just realised that my second Megatron didn't come with the extra purple blast accessories!! Was it some kind of pre-order bonus? I remember the baggie was taped to the outside of the first one's box!

Megatron in gun mode Anyone know what this grey piece is all about?

 

The first run came with blast effects. That grey piece is what you use to attach the blast effects to the gun barrel.

 

Finally got around to opening Goldie and he's pretty good. He really brings back the Season 2 Golden Lagoon cartoon feels.

 

I'm interested in purchasing blast effects if anyone is selling. Send me a PM.

Third Party Year in Review 2019

I don't usually do this, but there's been a heavy push in the TE-01 thread so its only fair that other figures get the same shout out.

 

Thanks, I hadn't been paying attention and had missed that thread. This guy is great but there's no way he beats TE01 so that's where my vote goes.

 

That may work better if split up by niche.

It's hard for this guy to stand out against Masterpiece. Plus, that's an odd list. IF's 4 in 1 Megatron didn't make the cut but this guy did?

 

Did you check out the nomination stage and read the year in review? Iron Factory Tyrant got one less vote than the New Age seeker mold and two less votes than Agamemnon to place fourth. I can't change that, only you guys can by nominating and voting.

Iron Factory Spirit of DEC won this category, its already split up by niche. As it is every year. This final stage is for overall 3p toy of the year.

NA toy and gold versions are on my legends Megatron shelf and the NA toon will stand in on my legends season 1 'con shelf until the MS Megs gets released. Then the NA toon will go to my Prime shelf for the "axe vs mace battle from that one episode".

Does this guy fit in the hands of any MP scaled giant bots like Toy World Devastator or anything reasonably?

 

Any of the titans or larger MPs could pull it off. TW devy size or even fanshobby overlord. Probably starts being difficult around FT Jetfire. So long as the fingers can be manipulated enough to grip it and of course the arm/shoulder ratchets need to be strong enough.

 

Oh daaamn, I've been trying to limit my legends scale stuff to things that work in scale with MP stuff, so I might have to pick this up, looks great!

 

Looks like I'll be picking up the chrome version. He looks really good in Devastator's hand.
