Yeah, the whole team of Mexican food really opened the door to a number of possibilities.
A Chinese food group has to include a take-out container, chopsticks, and a fortune cookie.
There could be a Japanese food team too, with a bottle of soy sauce (Sir Botcha recolor?), onigiri (rice ball), maybe dango on a skewer, and a recolor of the chopsticks.

 

I still have the instructions so that's something lol. Makes me wonder whoever found him,what they did with him or even wonder what in the hell is this??? Haha

 

The popcorn would be a rather easy retool into a take out container. Oh oh since you mentioned chopsticks, a wok would be interesting to see. If we're talking Japanese there has to be a bowl of ramen. Maybe a soft boiled egg since that seems be really popular. Wouldn't turn down an Edamame botbot either.

 

The thing is, Botbots have yet to use a retool. Sure there's some with shared engineering, but it's either a redeco or a new mold so far.

No, they're actually different molds believe it or not. They just transform similarly.

 

I thought the purpose of a retool/remold was to change the outward appearance, but the internals are the same?

 

I think the intent behind a retool/remold is that there are still initial pieces from the original mold used such as the same legs or chest. Hamurai and Sensei Spiney have the same basic idea but none of their pieces are exact matches to each other. I've heard the term "shared engineering" thrown around for this sort of thing (like CW Silverbolt vs POTP Hun-Gurr). Though to be fair, they're all fan terms so I guess there's always a gray area.

 

To me "shared engineering" is a retool a remold is like Siege Ironhide and Ratchet

 

Haha, I guess we should solidify these definitions one of these days. Oh well, not a big deal.

But more on topic, have the series 4 eight packs shown up anywhere around the world yet?

The Botbots 5-packs were reported as sighted at retail here in Taiwan but without a location (don’t remember where reported; search, couldn’t find).
I’ve been out around to the few places I’ve seen Botbots for sale before, but besides the 2 claw and 2 gumball 6-packs I have not found anything new. No blue bubbles.

 

I know the S4 5packs have showed up in Singapore
Any other countries have them yet?
