Second one of my combiner wars Turbomasters is Hurricane and isnt technically a CW but a POTP figure but eh the name works, He is a repaint and reworking on of POTP jazz figure, Mods are a new head from shapeways as well as his legs have been flipped around and cut down in places to make it so it can still transform without to many issues, only problem being the legs dont like staying clipped together at the rear.

Only other addition is the new water transfers which i had designed for him then i printed out and put on. Due to how the head reveal works on POTP Jazz ive had to put the autobot logo on the left arm in robot mode, personally i think it works fine. Thoughts? Looks great, only thing I would possibly change would be to use a proper green on the transfers rather than teal as it makes him look slightly washed out

I know what ya mean but every time i tried new decals they always came out a light shade so by the instead of wasting more of my transfer paper i just settled with it, in person its more green i think the lights of my photo booth made it look brighter then it is

Huh, other than RID01 Daytonus, I wouldn’t have figured Hurricane as a good reuse of the Jazz mold, but it really works.

Plenty of Characters work quite nicely from it TBH, Jackpot, Flash and Knockout to name a few, shame the mould is kind of disappointing in itself

As for your leg clipping issue. Take an exacto and clean some if the excess paint from the peg and the slot and you should be good

Always love to see a Turbomaster custom. How'd you do the upper legs? I meant to do the same thing (flipped waist) for a Skram custom, but I destroyed that Jazz's legs in the process. :(

Now I've got that 80's song stuck in my head.....

Great work! I think the faction symbol in bot mode only works there. Maybe you could put it on the space that is below the face?? Which I assume reveals along with his head. (I don't own a Jazz.) But I think it might be to close to the head.

I put it on his shoulder for a personal design touch, to me at least it's looks better as it is easier to see

Oh man, that is a wonderful custom. Any chance of a Turbomaster combiner?

Omnibots also work well with this mold as well, with my own Overdrive.

How did you change the hands of that mold? I mean i don't see the panels that where behind the hands of that mold but he can still transform.
    Is that partsforming?

It’s an older trick someone else did, that I just copied. The hands pop out, and I cut off the plastic behind the hands to remove the kibble on the arms (for lack of a better description). I then glued the removed pieces to their approximate location on the legs, which is why they look a little weird with some raised armor.

    It totally works, though!
