I've heard "eunuch jokes" are okay. But then again what do I know.

Thanks for finding it. I love that pic. I hadn't seen it in a while.

Patiently waits for someone to do the same thing but with tape.

If he said it will transform into a trailer, then that's what it will do unless he's given some reason to not take his word. I missed it if he said it would transform into a second trailer.

Yea no prob-Bob! Luckily I sent that pic to a friend awhile ago and just looked it up our conversation and didn't have to backtrack many pages back. Much props to the OP of that pic though;)

Thanks for implying I haven’t applied any sort of logic -I’ve already stated that just because something is priced at $105 doesn’t mean that’s what it costs to produce. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear they were even spreading out the cost of the final combiner parts across all the members. They can charge $105 for a figure because we will pay it, not because it’s what they need to cover their cost. That’s how they make money. If they make ENOUGH money, they can hide some of the price of the combiner parts in what we are paying per figure, allowing them to release a final figure with accessories at a price that seems unusually low, but which is still sufficient to cover their costs and then some.

Having experience in both retail sales and wholesale distribution, I can confirm this is a common enough practice to be something that’s been put in place here.

Let’s look at it this way: if it costs them $50 to produce, they bank $55. Now, let’s say for a moment that $25 of that gets paid forward toward the cost of a combiner accessory. Over 4 carbots, that’s $100 you, the consumer, have paid into your combiner parts without even realizing it. Now, road king cost you $180, but let’s say it cost them $80 to produce. Now take $50 of that, and pay it toward the cost of your combiner parts to make it a clean $150 you’ve already paid. Meanwhile, they have already made $170 off the sale of those figures above and beyond the cost to produce.
So we already deducted the cost of the carbot from the final price of the last combiner with accessories, leaving us with $130 you’re paying plus the $150 you’ve paid for parts in advance for a total of $280. Even if it cost them $200 to make the frame and accessories (likely less) they still take home another $80 in profit, for a total of $250 profit on $675 in sales. Cost of goods being $480, they make a clean 29% profit margin which is quite good.

All in all it’s just speculation on cost of goods, but even with some variance it’s still a tidy take-home for our Fans Toys friends.

    But hey, who knows.

    -A.S.

You continue to 'enjoy hoping for goodness' then, I'll keep using logic on what has always been traditionally the most expensive 3p company, who like you say, know their fanboys will pay out for.

Now that was easy, wasn't it!
