They have the same chance as anything else, but we all know the 3P market is pretty dominated by G1 Mp style for the time being.

I want to see more of everything. It's the diversity of Transformers I enjoy the most. The reinvention every ten years of so keeps it fresh and ensures it's a multi-generational thing like Star Wars rather than a been and gone product like MASK or Battle of the Planets. I don't have to like every iteration to see and appreciate they bring in more people to the fandom.

Having said that, I love me some G1.

He's going to plug into a skeleton. You can look at the first page of this thread and get a general idea of how he'll fit into it.....he'll basically form a "U" with his legs and his arms will collapse and stick straight up.

 

There’s parts for toy and toon Menasors and the pieces come with the last car and will cost about the price of Road King

Over or under $200 that the last piece will come to. I don't see how you get a $115 figure and a whole armature for $65 totaling $180 to form Menasor. Think Dalianjj is fibbing on its going to cost the same as Roadking.

 

Why would they do that?

Edit: their markup on the figures they produce is whatever they want it to be. Just because they charge $115 for a figure and we pay it doesn’t mean that’s what it costs to produce the figure. If their costs are low enough to produce, it’s entirely possible they can bundle the figure and the rest of the combiner ports together, charge $180 and still make a profit.

Roadking is absolutely the most beautiful Motormaster and I confirm that I'll buy him, however for a second Motormaster in truck mode I'd like to ask this:transforming Roadking in truck mode for me, beginner in 3rd party (I've only transformed Hulkie but Capone appers easy)and keeping him in that mode is easier that from truck to robot? Then transforming him to truck could damage something or is resistant?I have watched Emgo videos but I'd like some suggestions.

Because if transformation to truck is tedious but not risky for toy I could buy a second Roadking for alt mode instead that Gravestone, but as first choice for bot mode,Roadking always wins ,and Capone as bot to transform in all his modes instead.

The xtransbots version doesn't include the trailer with the transformation so I would imagine that it wouldn't be as big to transform, but if you got a table or a desk, Roadking isn't tough to transform either way. Just follow Emgo's video and you'll be fine every time. I wish he'd go back and do some older figures with his new "Just Transform It" videos.


Roadking is actually a really fun transformation to me. He's a lot better than Koot or Rouge.

 

Well the aerial bots are $115 but the Stunticon cars are only $105 so it could be under $200, but probably somewhere close to it.

 

I will take Dalianjj for his word until I hear differently. I can see the last limb being $180. That's how much Roadking costs.

I like how they did that instead of putting the skeleton with Roadking though you could slowly put it together, but at least it saved us from spending $250 at one go.

 

Noob question. So the Roadking we currently have won’t combine with the rest of the team???

 

Based on what we know, I would argue that technically, he does not combine with the limb-bots. He'll combine with a torso. That torso will combine with the limbs. But there will be no direct link between any limb, and Roadking.

Kind of like how G1 Hook does not combine with G1 Long Haul. Long Haul combines with the neck-piece, and Hook combines with the neck piece. But they do not combine themselves. (Hook combines directly with Bonecrusher and Scrapper though).
