They turned Sari into a literal deus ex machnina. She deserves better.

The show as a whole deserves better than this half-assed excuse of an "ending."

I'll echo what others have said and say this really is just more fanfiction, just given a more polished look. Anyone can do it. Heck, I'm doing it if you check my sig.

 

Personally all i can say is it started strong but it flat out died in terms of quality by the final chapter, also what\'s with the inconsistent art styles, one chapter it\'s fairly close to the show, the next it\'s more anime inspired, and then it just flat out gives up on itself and looks like a ripoff of Teen Titan\'s go\'s art style with simple colors and shapes. Why not just have the same guy do all the  illustrations. I also don\'t like how plot points like Blackarachnia\'s return or the state of cybertron go nowhere. I think the worst part is when Prowl appears and we see other things that could\'ve happened like the constructicons and shattered glass versions that we won\'t be seeing because this is meant to be the end. It\'s like they teased us with more and they just didn\'t include. This comic is a mess, from the art style to the writing, to the plot being all over the place and especially the fact that it took us 2 years to finally read it makes it worse. Bottom line don\'t bother with this garbage and just go watch the fan made season 4 storyboard episodes on YouTube, they\'re a lot better for one thing also, they actually use all the potential and the ending is extremely satisfying. I won\'t spoil it but I will leave a link for you all to watch it. As for this, my final score is 2/10 the only good things were the art styles from the first 2 chapters, and Bulkhead Bumbleyand Sari were entertaining. Even then, don\'t bother. I tried. I don't care how well-made it is, in my opinion it's story is way, way too derivative and doesn't feel like a continuation of Animated at all.

 

But still it’s better than trial and error (don’t you love it when a title references the quality of something)?

 

Even then the ending we got with Prime bringing in megatron was good

I was going to say something longer, but instead I'm just going to say "lmao @ everyone who thinks that sari being the deus ex machina whose magically-imparted knowledge and powers save the day is somehow Not Like Animated".

(and also "yes, the latter two chapters don't match the first in terms of fidelity to the animated style, but "why not just have one person do it all" is a really fucking stupid question to ask about a 60-page comic being made FOR FREE under specific time constraints")

I got really excited when I saw this and I wasn't disappointed, a very nice ending to an excellent show. Props to the writers for being able to wrap up a 3 season show within 64 pages of pdf comic in a decent manner, same with the artists, the varying styles were quite nice on their own and as a whole, not as jarring as the IDW 2019 TF reboot.

 

Ironically the art starting out good and going downhill makes it very close to the fluctuating animation of the show itself.
I have to agree with the comments here, it wasn't that great. Sari's origin was really lazily handled, and the finale being drawn like that pretty much ruined the epic-ness. Add in Prowl's cheesy ghost stuff which you knew was coming, but still. Also having Alpha Trion become the new leader just doesn't "work." He barely had a presence in the show.
Some things I did enjoy were Megatron's trial, Ultra Magnus getting some closure with Prime, and the flashback to the Iacon battle with the omega sentinels and straxus (referencing the deleted transwarped scene. that was cool)

 

Adobe Illustrator is great for logo design, schematics, and simple clip art. It was never intended to be used to make full on graphic novels. You want Clip Stuido Paint, Paint Tool Sai, Adobe Photoshop, traditional media, anything else besides a vector-based art program.

 

Oh boy, some people just don’t know how to be happy...
