Finally had some fun time with Fraudo. Those outward shoulders are crazy tight!

I actually was gonna get them all from PSX but cause I wanted a Fraudo for Christmas, which also hasn’t arrived, from this eBay seller in China. I wonder if the box will be different.

Hm, I just noticed that Fraudo's left seat (the flap that turns over and becomes the hip skirt) doesn't have a grey "cushion" like the other seat. Is this normal?
If not, where could I get a replacement from?

Does anyone know if there’s anywhere to store Impetus’s gun in arm mode? Feels weird just leaving it around, especially with what Fraudo has in terms of storage.

I tried before. The best I could manage was stuffing it in the forearm, but then it's just rattling around in there :v

Hmmm. That’s no good. Hopefully Onslaught has something to store it.

I just spent the day opening and fiddling with Fraudo too. I did a couple of minor fixes.

The biggest thing for me right out of the box was the overly tight outward shoulder hinge, and slightly loose forward and back shoulder swivel.

I took the shoulder apart by removing both screws on the back. The two parts that needed work are the yellow front shoulder piece and the grey inner shoulder joint.

    PSX_20191227_233410.jpg PSX_20191227_233615.jpg

For the front yellow shoulder piece, I did some light filing on the long peg, just enough to uniformly remove the "glossy" finish. I stress light filing. Now the tightness should be just right, not the feeling of ripping the arms off out of the box.

    PSX_20191227_233809.jpg

Next, on the inner shoulder joint, remove the screw and take it apart. I applied a thin layer of superglue to increase the friction in the swivel. Make sure to apply it thinly. It looks ugly but it won't show in any mode. Let it dry and put everything back together. This should tighten as needed by @shiin

    PSX_20191227_233712.jpg

Lastly, I also realised that it was hard to split the hood/chest during transformation, and it was causing stress marks on the hood/chest pieces, simply because the force exerted from handling was not in the direction of the required splitting motion. I filed the inside of the purple tabs of the centre hood/chest piece, that is on the side below the hood/chest. Splitting happens to be easier for me now. Forgot to take in-process pics for this.

That's not normal. Contact MMC using the email you can find here and they'll help you out.

I did pretty much the same thing for the shoulders but I also added some lubricant for on the shoulder hinge. I haven't done anything to the hood/chest parts but I may.

Thanks for the advices! That is why I don't like friction joints! Overly tight or overly loose...

Honestly I probably would've just tried to toss it inside the tail since it's hollow, see if it fits there. I like this a lot better though, nice!

How did you remove the piece you are filing from your shoulder? I tried it and it was impossible for me

It was pretty tough. I've got no better way than simply gripping it firmly and moving the joint in and out as you pull it out. My fingers hurt a little after the exercise.

Alright so I got Fraudo. I’d share photos but it was a bit of a heat figuring him out. First of all, my box is the same type, which I’m happy about. But long story short, my tolerances are perfect, but the design has too many tabs. I got really caught on the hood sliding parts, but I found a way that doesn’t require my non-existent finger nails. I’m definitely gonna buy a spudger soon, it’ll be useful for the leg parts. But I really like him.

Also I’ve found a great way to store the weapons that doesn’t get in the way of the combiner leg and I’ll definitely share that with the pictures.

The official way to store them doesn't get in the way of the combiner leg so not sure what you mean? Why would you need to do it another way? every piece has somewhere to go.

Sorry, I meant the ankle range. When it’s stored on the inside you can’t bend it all the way. I’ve just stored it on the outside peg. It’s actually cool cause you can bend it and have it be used like the old school weapons where they can aim forward.

So I think I'm getting pulled into the limbs on this set but got a cpl of requests just to solidify my decision.

I'm sure its been posted in the thread but needle and haystack spring to mind. Has anyone taken a shot of Maketoys Meteor with the current 2 releases? Bonus points if there's some XTB Stunticon comparisons too.

Is Onslaught next? If so that gives me a breather before number 4 which is Brawl or Blast Off?

    TIA.

Yes, Onslaught then Blast Off then Brawl.

I'm out getting dinner, but if you remind me I can do this tonight.
