    Happy Holidays, everyone! :D
Hope Santa's been good to you. ;)

    Xmas Dirge.jpg

As you can see, Dirge is overjoyed with his Christmas present.

    Xmas light-pipe.jpg

It's Hasbro's Heroes of Cybertron Dirge, and it's easily distinguished from its (much rarer) Takara counterpart by the blunt nosecone on the head, the paint slathered all over the translucent plastic, and the light-piped eyes.

Oddly enough, it's also the only Conehead Hasbro released in the line. o_O

Okay, today's challenge is an easy one.
It's a yellow, electric creature who only says his own name... and you have to catch it. Can you guess who it is? ;)

    No, it's not Pikachu. :redface2:

    Kremzeek.jpg

Specifically, the Kremzeek that inexplicably came with the Refraktor (sic) Reconnaissance Team 3-pack.

It looks fine as a garbage truck.
Just keep it as far away from Grimlock as possible. o_O

I kinda want the whole set, but I just can’t swallow the 18$ price tag, maybe I’ll cave later

ReAction Figures? Isn't that the company that produces deliberately crappy toys? o_O

lol, coming from mister walls of Star Wars 5poa

    82E7A03C-60C1-4D0A-85E6-E3A3D417E37B.jpeg

    I LEARNED IT FROM YOU!!

but yes it’s that company, and they recently increased the price of everything they put out in response to tariffs or something

it was all fine whatever when they were like 10$ but idk about 18$ even if I think they would look nice on the wall

Dude, it ain't even like that.

    5POA wall.jpg

Sure, I got a wall of poorly-articulated Star Wars figures...

    plutt.jpg

    ...but poorly-articulated doesn't mean poorly-sculpted...

    Plank.jpg

    ...or poorly-painted, which they aren't.

    Paige.jpg

In fact, they're among the most accurate figures ever produced at this scale.

    Kaz.jpg

Learn this from me, then: five points of articulation may mean "retro," but it doesn't mean "crap."
    "ReAction" means "crap."

Mind you, that packaging artwork is fantastic. :buttrock

point taken, I certainly feel as though I now better understand people’s attraction to classic style SW toys, thanks

in this particular case I would argue that the lack of detail and simple paint is acceptable under the pretense of being cartoon like, but I won’t even try to make excuses for the majority of the re action line

other than hardcore nostalgia for the full aesthetic of vintage 5poa, or collecting them like funko pops because they have stuff from a ton of licenses, I really don’t get the appeal, especially with the prices going up

Agreed, the packaging is definitely the highlight, and also was the perfect size to fit all of them a weird place on my wall, but for the price especially after messing with soundwave I rethought my plan as I’m not certain it’s worth it for what I’m essentially treating as a poster

still tho makes for a good challenge lol
