Agreed! I do like what Iron Factory was going for with Blizzard(Why MFT never OSKO'd that one, I'll never understand), but I think if you just take what the original gives you in terms of design, Blizwing could be a very convincing triple-changer.

i would love it if this bot comes with his eye glasses as an option.

one of my favorite parts of the IDW astrotrain was when it was revealed that he was virtually blind....lol

I’m a little confused about how tall(ish) this guy might be. Does anyone know of a pic with a comparable MFT figure next to IF Tyrant?

he will be much bigger than IF tyrant. but i think it should still work out since astrotrain was a nice sized bot after all.

Thanks. I don’t think he’ll be so bad a head or two taller :)

So the white shuttle could represent Space-C and the black train could be Loco? That’s 2 Go-Bots in 1!

Also, it would be a real nice treat if they also included a Blitzwing gun and sword like they gave him in the (USA) ‘85 toy list prototype version.

    About 12cm tall.
The good news is that if you sell off the MP for L now, you'll come out a little ahead. Keep waiting for catalogs to expand, runs to run out, and aftermarket prices to rise and you're probably gonna have a bad time.

    Astro looks awesome!

MFT figures are cheap enough that you can collect them alongside your MP collection without them getting in the way too much. Most months I have an MP purchase and one or two Legends/Legends+ purchases.

Eh, I don't think anybody expected him sooner than Feb. He'd have to be in production right now to come out in January and they'd have to hurry to beat the new year.

I might trying cutting that hip flap down the middle depending on how it’s attached. I think it would look much better with a flap for each leg rather than the monoflap.

i can not wait to own this one bot. the sooner he comes out the better.

it also means that we might finally be one step closer to devy.

Oh I didn't notice the monoflap. Damnit damnit damnit! When will these companies realize we fucking hate monoflaps?! A monoflap is one of the biggest deal breakers for me but I'll still end up getting this guy because there are literally no other options out there. Just means it'll be easy to convince me to replace him when another option comes along.

I share the same purple and gray pain.
The indents on the sides of the middle piece mean that it is a friction fit joint. There will be nubs in the skirt that lock into divots in that middle piece. It may be possible to split the skirt, drill some holes, and put both halves of your new split skirt on a single pin.
It's a cost saver. Fewer parts, less to mould, less to trim and assemble, no hardware. I don't like it either.
