I know the reason why they looked like they did in cartoon, but we now find ourselves in a situation that slavish cartoon MP's are what (most?) people want, and Takara's newest G1 MP's reflect that.

I'm NOT against visible kibble, like I said before I really like the bayformer designs!

Galvatron in AoE didn't have visible truck parts in bot mode and as such a masterpiece version in my OPINION shouldn't either.

Anyone is is free to have their own opinions on things and I don't judge how anyone puts their collection together, it's their money.

I still use FT Quakewave as my shockwave, because I like the design and size more over the official....
People may not agree with that and that is their right.

As is mine saying that I don't like the official one...

Search for SGC brochure or something close like that. There’s a thread.

    Exactly!
Disappearing vehicle parts has been a thing since the beginning, so there's no reason to complain about Bayformer designs for that reason.

I love that there's ongoing argument about visible kibble when the character this is based on has no real visible kibble in the film.

Like, what exactly the fuck is going through the heads of people saying there should be kibble?

Ironically, a figure that should have a gappy chest doesn't have one.

If the design didn't have kibble then neither should the figure. That's obvious.

Now if you wanna debate the merits of the design or the whole concept of Galvatron that's a different story. For me they could have at LEAST made him similar colors to the truck. He's just a generic silver robot with techy bits like wires and tubes. At least knight Optimus had red and blue flames, and a couple of visible parts like smoke stacks. That was like 5% kibble but it wasn't nothing...

Instead of quarreling over a design that'll be 6 years old next year, why don't we just honor the souls UT sold to the devil to bring us this engineering masterpiece and admire the sheer brilliance of what they've made OK? :thumbs2:

I get that this is a joke, I've even laughed at it, but let's get serious for a moment. There ain't no soul sellin', here. It's merely proof that one actually CAN be a tremendous designer (or team of designers) and that Has/Tak still has a long way to go.

Either they haven't cracked the code, the board won't allow them to fund that much effort, or they're lazy.

This figure, by past examples, should not exist. He does, though, which means Has/Tak have sort of been giving us a big F.U. to some degree, all these years.

For one wow, UT is really the king of the hill. Every design of theirs, flawless execution of bot mode with no kibble and maintaining maximum accuracy possible in the alt mode is really dope. I never thought that they would be so successful in making every bot design garner huge applause from Bayverse haters to fans and everyone in the community.

Coming to the Galvatron, I hate his design maybe because we are used to Megatron design in the movies thus this new form looks bad perhaps or maybe even the nature of human made clone of Megatron, however the coolest part is his blades on the wrists that's superb and how his chest eats up Optimus blade entirely. The transformium is a good thought but joke to look at and almost feels like a stupid prank, at-least they have the sound effects of transformation which I really dig with these movies. Who can forget the Fusion Cannon weapon sound !

As for the Bayverse, I love them as a whole and have all movies in 4K except the ROTF and AOE because 1080P Bluray has IMAX cut while 4K doesn't have so you will miss all the forest battle of the rotf and Lockdown amazing scenes in full glory. I'm very happy that UT didn't make that crappy Bumblebee stink movie designs explain in next.. Bayverse movies from 2007 dropped in quality but not in action and beautiful design of sound and mech effects. The primary reason I suspect is Hasbro and Studio might want more kids to watch thus we get that fucked up small dinobots petting and the whole unnecessary opening of TLK along with that stupid blue bot destroying a ship of Cybertronian tech by shooting or jamming ? muzzle WTF and in AOE they added the jokes making whole menacing-ness of Lockdown into a fool when they board his ship. Again with TLK the whole military sequence of the climax is horribly paced and stupid acting (Compare with Scorponok from 2007 and Ravager from ROTF, hell Laserbeak from DOTM) and gave humans more and more relevance from DoTM, TLK had most of the worse aspects of it and the DoTM's Starscream and Shockwave death was a big shame to the franchise imo, Energon tech being killed by humans. But none of this will take away the special place I have for TF the Bay versions, I feel they have best plot premise and sound effects with VFX except the execution which always was the case.

Bumblebee is worst, because they took the solid hotshot powerful Camaro bee to a small kid type mentality and a dumb car design, to make it worse he is wearing diapers acting all cute (more toy sales for hasbro's crap) and the story was illogical, retconning everything the bee was known for, fighting against Nazis to the Dropkick and Shatter's climax battle to the main unlikable protagonist.

I hope UT will continue with Bayverse designs only, I was expecting Nitro Zeus or Sound Wave which check this design which was abandoned by another 3P (Ultimate Bot mode and Car Mode), or give us Black out UT the top destruction Decepticon action ever on a screen. Or the Star Scream (my fav alt mode ever - F22 Raptor and top notch transformation sound and action in 1st part) gallery only

Why does it have 3 wheels under a foot while 1 wheel on a shoulder? This truck has 8 wheels in total??? o_O

From what I can tell based on the width of the wheels, it’s not 3 in the foot but rather 2 with one of them being a double wheel to simulate what trucks usually have I guess.

If that's true it'll be awesome.
Also I notice that 1 of the 3 wheels is bigger than the others. So strange!

About time they rolling this guy out, too bad we won't be getting rubber tires. But will be interesting to see what additional modifications people will make to it.

Wow! I wasn't aware Hogwarts offered curriculum in toy design. That's some S-level engineering wizardry right there!

Not to mention the truck itself isn't licensed. So there's gonna be some differences. I really wish they would add the headlights though. I thought the headlights of the truck was the most iconic and memorable thing about the truck.
