Just love part swapping to make "What if" Combiner Wars characters. Always loved the original white cab magnus, don't know why but I wanted to make him a jet. Roadbuster was a given when I realised the main colors I had was orange and green.
I know you will say remove the purple, but I am crap at getting paint off, and I am only looking to display him in bot mode.
removing paint apps is quite easy. get some 91% alcohol and a q-tip or soak it if you can get the part off (dont do this with clear plastic). soaking it is much simpler as it usually just wipes right off after about 20-30 minutes. Q-tips take a little bit of effort but it does work.
Believe me I did that on this Blastoff he got the parts from and it DOES NOT come off easy. You have to soak it for a few minutes, scrape away what you can with your tool while the paint is soft, and then repeat over and over to get it off.
Thank you, I really like the Idea of Magnus being more nimble. I always pictured the inner robot being like Goku / Piccolo, when he sheds the outer armor, the inside from is unchained and able to move really fast, and nothing says fast like a jet.
