I’m sorry can someone please help me with this? I’m really terrible with these things. For the life of me I can’t figure out how to reattach Goose’s backpack.

Pic 1 is how mine looks now.

Pic 2 is the holes I know the tabs are supposed to slide in to.

Pic 3 are the tabs I know are supposed to go in there.

pic 4 is how far I’ve separated the fuselage.

what am I missing? Please explain slowly and patiently and carefully like you would to an especially stupid child.

    thanks

Ok, it looks like you have the nose and cockpit right. It should just be a matter of situating the hinged armatures. I can't say mine is 100% correct because I'm too lazy to get the manual back out, but I have the tail pushed back as far as it'll go on that slider, then I have them folded like a Z so the first hinge goes straight out from his back, the second one goes back in toward his back, and the third one goes back out again. When they're all compressed the tabs on the part with the part with the wings should reach the slots on the flaps holding the intake and nose in place.

OMG Thank you!!!! It was the hinge that I couldn't figure out. It apparently slid up on that slider on me, which I didn't even know existed, and I finally figured out how to slide it back down to put it into that Z shape you talked about and that made all the difference. Real simple after that.

Anyway, now that the backpack problem is fixed, I just wanted to say that overall I like Goose a lot and that's despite mine not even being of particularly high QC. The right foot on mine is pretty loose while the left is super tight. Same with the arms. The right arm is loose at the shoulder, to the point I'm not even sure he can hold his gun up with his arm straight out (haven't tried yet), while his left arm is pretty tight. Still overall, he is far more solid and substantive than his Zeta counterpart, so I'm like 99.9% sure I'll be selling my Zeta Kronos.

Hit me up if you want one, mint condition, never opened.

Those are the Make Toys seekers. I was never able to find any of them except Starscream (except on eBay). Their Conehead Seekers have been up for pre-order for about a decade...

Watch out when removing the guns from the wings in plane mode folks. Was tight going in, too tight it seems. Oh well. Looks like the part isn't too much of a pain in the ass to replace. Just a heads up to take a bit of extra care peoples. The other gun came out fine.

I love my goose. Only problem I had was one pinky was almost too tight to bend into a fist.
I can't wait to finish this team. My only combiner as a kid (my brother got devastator).

Sorry about your luck, but you got hosed as a kid. Devastator was the best.

Oh I agree, but I got to play with both. I do love aircraft, so that make it easy to cope with devastator not being MINE. lol

That actually makes it not too far off from the right scale. (There's a few F-16's that have been hacked apart to have hinges, to fold up and fit inside semi trailers).
Bonus points: this is an EXTREMELY early F-16, like G1 Skydive was. (Depending on your definition, this could be considered F-16 #1, in fact).
