Nah, SS38 is nearly perfect. also, AoE Evasion Mode. Still needed some help with the DX9 add on kit to become a great figure, but on its own it was IMO the best movie OP figure until SS38
This....thing This picture doesn't do it justice. It looks bad, the vehicle mode is horrible, the gun sucks, and it just feels cheap. Came in the Ultimate Battle 2-pack, and the Megatron that came with it was also a horrible toy.
Except the bot mode in your pic is actually pretty solid. It’s the companion alt mode that kills that figure. If the only compressed the legs it would be a very decent toy.
So I'm to take this seriously and say RID 2001 Optimus. Everyone is choosing the easiest which is fine. Many will disagree but here are my reasons why. 1. Alt-mode.There is nothing wrong with being a firetruck;however; most of Prime's vehicle is his super-mode and well what is left is a folded up block. To me any figure that has a larger mode needs to have the ability to stand alone vehicle. There's also the splitting tires and the pain attaching prime to his parts. 2. bot-mode. You wouldn't at first but slowly you start seeing the blemishes. Optimus's legs are way too large making his body small and his head smaller. There is also Primes Faux chest made of chrome and it doesn't take long for the chrome to come off. 3. Super-mode. This is probably Prime"s strongest suit and the least to complain about. attaching the chest is a real pain and can be undone fairly easy. This also goes back to the chrome issue whee you have to clip the super mode chest into the faux chest. The Super-mode is pretty solid but to me a lot was sacrificed to get the result.
While I do love my fire convoy . But with those reasoning ... I would say the encore version would get my vote . Since it’s the only figure I know that got recalled .
