"IF-EX 40 [Mini One Man Army], away from the traditional shape of "big belly and short legs", the iron factory series has the smallest height; the pistol can be stored in the body in the model and the human form See you around New Year's Day. PS: The yellow car is not designed to be repainted.[IMG]"

Sounds like they're planning a Bumblebee (ex-50?) And it won't be a repaint.

Yep this is gonna be AMAZING. Looks like IF is challenging NA's Minibot market with this one and Powerglide...

Not really in competition, though, are they? IF does IDW-inspired bots, NA does cartoon-inspired bots. I don't know about anyone else, but for me that means they aren't in any way interchangeable.

Competition in the sense people have a limited budget and may have to choose one or the other, but I agree style-wise NA and IF are on separate shelves.

buddy, we're not entering this hobby because we have unlimited budget. we have presumable unlimited budget, because we work harder to stay in this loophole of a hobby, that don't seem to have actual exit door, just because we foolishly enter with toughts like "eh, just one wouldn't hurt".

The first one doesn't hurt. It's when you realize there's a massive backlog that hurts lol

I just meant that New Age normally seems to focus on smaller bots and has yet to do a Cliffjumper or Powerglide. These two are 'Minibot' characters that IF has seemed to stay away from since the beginning. For someone like myself that mixes and matches all of the available products to get my ideal collection, it gives Iron Factory a chance to sell a character to me that I would normally expect from one of their competitors. This gets me to my goal of assembling the cast of the G1 Cartoon much faster than waiting for one company to put everything out in their own style. Also, NO ONE else has done or even announced a proper Legends Cliffjumper(HotSoldiers doesn't count, that's "Legends+") or Powerglide at all yet, except for IF. I am aware that NA will have a Cliffjumper at some point in the near future, but it won't be a Mini Cooper(bonus points!), and no Powerglide. Also-

-No one seems to have Gears, Windcharger, or Stunticons on their radar, other than Magic Square.
-No one seems to be doing Brawn, except for New Age.
-No one seems to be doing Rodimus or Astrotrain, except for MechFansToys/Mechanic Studio. Even tho these two are technically Legends+, they still work to my eye due to the characters' natures, roles, and relative statures within the mythology. And of course, the fact that NO ONE ELSE IS DOING THEM!

The main companies are all covering some different areas of turf with minimal overlap at the moment and this pleases me. Makes it interesting when NA or MS comes out with something down the road that genuinely challenges Iron Factory's product for my shelf space. IF also has LioConvoy and Optimal Optimus coming out of Left Field, so They are pretty much covering a large spectrum over this next couple years. Casting a wide net.

Back to the point about competition, and about Cliffjumper, I must concede that while not everyone will like the IDW-inspired design style of the IF stuff, the fact that there are or are going to be OPTIONS for Cliffjumper is never a bad thing, right?

Side note- Since this is the early IDW "BumbleJumper" design, I wonder if it can do some version of the cool 'Handgun-under-the-hood' thing like BB did in Infiltration:
    Infiltration4-BumblebeeAltmodeGun.jpg

VERY unlikely I know, but it would be really cool!

Love the figure, hate the random silver paint lines. Not sure why, as it looks okay on the universe version...

Psyched about this cliffjumper, looks really excellent.

The proportions are pretty close to perfect.

And I’ve said it before, but man it’s amazing how much better in every way this is than the upcoming Hasbro version. I typically really enjoy HasTak stuff, but this is like a third of the size, has better proportions, and doesn’t partform. It’s really impressive.

Options are cool. But it is weird(in good way) how random the legends companies have tended to be with the Autobots.

If IF Cliffjumper can pull off the hood gun trick that would be awesome. Though if he can't it's not a big deal (though I hope the inevitable Bumblebee will be able to do it).

i know its a mini cooper but.. and i like him..(IF cliffjumper) but I almost feel that hasbro legends cliffjumper is a better match for the character.
also... given what u said about NA and mixing stuff (same here) how are u dealing with IF CJ scale. Isn't he just as tall as .. lets say ... IF Prowl?

I’m pretty sure he’s going to be smaller then the datsuns. Since IF made initial adjustments (post overlord, six shot, etc.) their scale has been great IMO.

He’s showing pre order with Netclow on eBay now btw.
