I was tempted enough that I bought Hightower. It'll be here Monday. I have a Studio Series TF1 Megatron arriving tomorrow.

 

I just bought 2 of the Amazon deal of the day POTP Infernos! Like you said lots of potential options for customs. Renderform.com has a Hosehead/Cab conversion kit , Toyhax has conversion stickers for Hosehead, Pyro, Heatwave and Firechief, and there's also stuff for shapeways to make the Inferno mold take a headmaster - perfect for the Takara Legends Cab (Hosehead) that came with God Ginrai set.

 

Dang, and I thought getting Studio Series Megatron for 37 was a nice deal. Ah well.

Amazon cancelled my Grapple pre-order.

 

Its just an early delivery

 

I placed my pre-order for Grapple and Hoist THE DAY they showed up on Amazon, during ComicCon. Today Amazon cancelled my pre-order with the following message:

"Due to a lack of availability, we will not be able to obtain the following item from your order. We've canceled the item and apologize for the inconvenience. If you see a charge for the canceled item, we will refund you within 1-2 business days. If you are still interested in purchasing this item, it may be available from other sellers. Please visit the detail page for this item below."

Has this happened to anyone else?

--edit-- their message wasn't super clear, but it looks like they only cancelled Grapple. Hoist appears to still be pre-ordered (those were the two I'd pre-ordered). Sorry if this is a common thing; I've never had a pre-order unceremoniously cancelled before.

 

Same, just Grapple. Prime, Cliffjumper, and Wheeljack are still locked in as of right now. Wouldn’t be shocked to see at least Prime get cancelled as well — clicking on him on my order page takes me to a broken link.

 

Mine too. Seems odd because the delivery date is April I think. Oh well.

Oh wow. I preordered the Earthrise toys on Pulse so I (hopefully) dodged that bullet!

 

Well, that's pretty much it for me in the preorder game. Since I've only been into heavy collecting for about a year, I've learned it's usually better to wait for the discounts anyway. Especially since I have a smaller wallet than most and can't afford to get everything I would like anyway...like unless the Rainmakers hit a deep discount, they are a reluctant pass. I might end up having to pass on the fan vote + powerdashers and Nightbird too, but now I'm rambling.

 

My next question is, since all thats left on my Pre-order is Hoist, will I get charged for shipping?

 

Eh. I guess my Grapple will get cancelled over the next day or so then.

You still get free shipping for your remaining items even if it dips below $25 because it's Amazon's fault. You will see that free shipping remains in your order.

Well SS Bumblebee is processing a lot faster then SS Hot Rod despite ordering him later in the day. Still waiting for Soundwave to go down in price.

My preorders for Earthrise Grapple, Hoist, Cliff, & Ironworks haven’t been canceled since people are talking about their orders being cancled.
Even if they canceled their Wave 1 they’ll be easily accessible throughout the year.
