Another quick and dirty post of a quick and dirty bash. Didn’t like the big gun cannon thing being stuck on that crazy repair arm. Popped the pin out of it, then took a 5mm post from the underside of a spare PotP Starscream combiner foot. Cut to fit, then popped pin back on thru the new post. Since taking the pix I’ve actually trimmed the handle a bit to better fit everything. Gun can still plug back into the repair arm via the hole in the back of the gun. Which leads me to my actual reason to post this. What to make with the repair arm? Another tool would be ideal but I can’t think of anything easy or simple to do with it. I’d love to add a post hole where the cannon used to connect, so it can hold other tools too. But making it it’s own tool would be a good bonus. Taking suggestions!
I like to scavenge, or use actual toy parts from other figs. I was looking at maybe getting a Cybertron Defense Red Alert(or Uni Countdown) hammer piece to pop on the end of the arm. But I’d also want that arm to be it’s own thing-whatever that is...I was also trying to find a way to add a 5mm post hole where the old cannon was removed so it could hold any 5mm post weapon or tool
Here’s more weapons I made for Ratchet. First, I found a lego piece that I modded to hold a 5mm post, and mounted it to the end of the repair arm(where the missile launcher used to be). I noticed that when Ratchet holds it one way, it kinda looks like some sort of welding tool. Held upright, it looks like a socket wrench-aka a ‘Ratchet’. Heh. next I found a spare ‘double weapon’ from the ol Universe 2.0 Ratchet toy. I mounted two different 5mm posts to it. Can be used as-is, or when combined with the repair arm, it works as a big hammer. Simple dirty cheap mods. it seems to be all I have time for lately. Hope you like.
