I have not seen any promo images with it, but I would very much like it if one were included. It will still be a couple of weeks before I get this guy stateside.

 

Ordered one of these from AliExpress. No experience with the mold but he’ll make a nice alternate universe take of a human attempt to make their own Optimus Prime.

 

It got me wondering if the KO of First Edition Prime Optimus will get a similar Scourge colour repaint with Teal & silver accents at some point and not the Black/Gold repaint it actually got. I'd like that I think.

How does this match up with KBB Voyager Masterpiece Optimus Prime? If they complement each other I might get it. The official is just cheap plastic and really doesn't feel like it matches. Thanks in advance!

 

Got mine in from ShowZ yesterday! He's cool but the foot broke off at the transformation joint where it rotates into the truck bed. Ugh.

 

Received mine from ShowZ today. And he is cool and thankfully nothing broke during transformation but a couple pieces kept falling off. The tolerances aren’t the greatest and the rear portion doesn’t stay tabbed together the best. The panels that form the sides of the truck cab are a bit flimsy and tend to detach from their respective hinges.

However, it does look good in black! His gun has a tiny splash of teal on it which is a nice touch. And for the price some imperfections are expected and it looks great next to the official red one.

 

got this figure today, quite decent. truck mode looks cool, holds together fairly well once you get it right

i noticed that the cab does indeed lean forward, and it seems to be caused by the leg parts that peg into the back of the cab, i dont think the hinges on them have the clearence to fold enough, and so they push it forward.

never owned this figure before, the transformation was a pain at first, but its clever how it works. i wish the arm panels would fold flat, but theres a tab that stops them from doing so.

bot mode looks amazing, but the plastic does feel weaker than siege, nothing major, just not quite as solid. im not too worried about breaking him. articulation is good, joints are sturdy and he looks badass, i think hes going to be my main chug nemesis for a while. i can see a few potential fixes for the issues i do have, but im not going to risk it as im not sure theyll work. this cost me £13 from showz after i used some points, but if you like the look of him, hes worth the full price. 8/10

 

I’ve had mine for a little while, he’s okay but not worth any more than the $13 he cost. The legs don’t peg together at all, they hold fine but none of the tabs are secure. The upper body feels like it’s getting looser by the day and most of the joints for transformation feel like they would break pretty easily. Thankfully the truck mode of this one looks pretty bad so it can stay in robot mode. I wouldn’t really recommend it.

 

transformed mine back an forth a dozen or so times, no issues. once ive got stuff lined up it seems to tab in fine. wonder if the quality varies a fair bit from figure to figure?

 

It might do, the flaps for the neck assembly and the truck panels that cover it all feel very much like they have a limited number of conversions before snapping.

 

i'll keep the thread posted if i get any issues.

 

Any suggestions for a good sword for this guy?

 

Got this guy today. Quality is good, all his joints and parts are super tight, some almost too much. Transformed him carefully and everything went fine. Nothing broken, everything tabs well.

His paint apps are top notch. Highly recommended.

It's awesome. Just as god as the official figure, IMHO... just in a sexy Black deco! For the price it's a can't miss.

 

Wheres the best place to buy it? And whats considered a good price?

 

Picked up this version along with the regular one. Ended up liking this more than the original Optimus colorway...





The black plastic looks so much better than the red, even though it feels just as buttery...

Hoping that the Shattered Glass one is at least the same level of quality, or better...

They do look sweet. Though the problem with BMB and weathering is that it’ll stain your hands.
