Thank you. Deciding wether to just swap heads or get a spare for each (I did grime up my 70's bee's head- so I'd kind of like to grime up his mask as well and I've kept this guy clean).

This is honestly so true and I've never been able to put it in concise words like this. Of course I want my toys to look like they do in the movies but for the price points that these figures are at it's impossible. I'm astounded Hasbro is able to do this well with the figures already.

Eventually when I have the money I want to invest in DMK models for all of these characters but for figures that I want to mess around with and pose and transform, Studio Series is phenomenal.

And Roadbuster is a great example of that. Yes, he has a backpack but he's infinitely better than the DOTM Deluxe and he just looks fun! I honestly might buy 3: robot mode, vehicle, and 1 to keep in package.

Really looking forward to the rest of the wreckers getting done.

Devastator head is not blast effects compatible. The rubbery texture is the only thing keeping it in place.

They're getting there. I'll bee adding some clear pearl paint to the colored sections to make them look a bit better and I may or may not fuss with trying to hide the paperclips better. To me the unicycle thing is a big part of their charm and the stands they come with just hide that too much.

    Enjoy.

P.S. Does anyone have any clue why the website changes orientation on some pictures? These were ALL taken portrait style specificly because that seems to be the only way the website will display them correctly, but 3 of them are sideways.

The paperclips made me think of building a styrene base.. you are right with the displays ruining the figures.. paperclips make them look so much better already

if you embed images full-size they do that, putting them in as thumbnails or links makes them show op correctly.

and the website isn't rotating them, that's how the images were actually saved.
many modern devices save pictures in the orientation of the camera module, and then add a rotation tag in the metadata that instruct image viewers to rotate them upright.
some apps and websites ignore this piece of metadata and display the image in the orientation the images is saved in.

Personally I think it's more of a paint issue. There is some room for improvement on the sculpt, though.

There's a few ways to remedy pictures showing up sideways. If you edit the image on your phone, rotate it 180 degrees and save it. It will now be upside down. Go into edit mode again and rotate another 180 degrees so the image is right side up again.

The other option is to go into edit mode and adjust the size or rotate your image slightly. After you save the image, it'll show correctly on TFW2005.

Your welcome. For the longer smokestacks, I decided to went with the final length of 1.5 cm. 2 plastic rods of 1.5cm were cut, spray-painted and slide-in in place on the trimmed stock smokestacks (Which I also permanently secures them in-place with some superglue).

The end results are..... pretty epic-looking. The new smokestacks on SS Optimus Prime here look a lot better than the short, stumpy looking stock version, as they're now long enough to look convincing as smokestacks while still looks somewhat reasonable in robot mode.

At the same time, I also sprayed a thin coat of gloss top-coat on the base Optimus figure itself in truck mode. As the truck mode itself has quite a glossy finish look in the movies, I also wanted to apply a gloss top-coat on it to make the truck mode itself has a more premium look.

Is there a thread dedicated to measuring the weights of figures? I'm back home for school vacation and I thought "why not do something mildly productive with my 3-week vacation?" So I measured a handful of figures I have with and without weapons and here are my findings:
    Screen Shot 2019-12-21 at 21.24.32.png
Some interesting things I found out:
    1. Evasion Prime is really light, almost as light as a large Deluxe like Movie 1 Jazz. Given the fact his torso is literally empty it shouldn't be surprise but it surprises me.
    2. Speaking of Jazz, his SS figure is less than half the weight of his Movie 1 figure!
    3. Hot Rod weights as much as his base-tooling Lockdown with his weapon. Given that size classes are measured more on weight than height could this be why he didn't come with a weapon? Because it'd exceed Hasbro's plastic mass limit?
    4. The fact Starscream, a huge Voyager by even old day standards, is lighter than the relatively small and short Ironhide and Brawl when measured by collective weight.
    5. Deluxe and Voyager Bonecrusher weight almost the same in spite of them two being in different size classes.
