I believe that first one is Ben Solo's Lightsabebr, before he became Kylo Ren.

I wonder if Rey's means they will discontinue the first one.

I believe you are incorrect but you should probably spoiler tag posts for folks who haven't seen the movie yet bruh

That is indeed Ben Solo's lightsaber (pre-Kylo Ren). Not a spoiler since it appeared in TLJ.

This has always put me off going back to the Vault. They're pathologically incapable of sticking to stated time frames. It's not so much that the stated wait time is long, as that they'll almost always blow past stated wait times, then provide an updated estimate, then blow past that again, and the cycle goes on.

I ordered one of their first wave of Graflexes in Jan 2016 and it was 4 months outside of lead time when it reached me. Almost all of their runs are now past estimated lead times. Their TFU2 run is 56 months past initial estimated delivery time.

I've owned a few higher end one off customs (TFU1 and TFU2 hilts, and a Luke v2 hilt) so I'm not a stranger to the scene. I understand quality work takes time. It's the repeated inability to provide an accurate time frame (and the associate passive aggressive responses from VV about this) that keep me away, which is a shame because otherwise their work is about as good as it gets in this industry.

    Unfortunately common on these models.

I was able to wipe them down with some Isopropryl Alcohol (gently) and it took that stickiness off. Has been fine ever since.

Can't wait....I had a super cool person, who I only knew from a Facebook group, buy me a Ben Solo saber and ship it to me. So excited about this!

...just bought a slightly marked up Vader Legacy on Ebay moments ago too. These new Legacy sabers are frigin' awesome....so long $900 sabers, these do it for me bigtime now!

I even saw in reviews that the new batch of sabers have improved electronics and sensors.....a big step forward!

Damn. I was at Magic Kingdom yesterday with the fam and was considering swinging by Hollywood Studios just to check out the saber shop. Good thing I didn't.

Anyone there offer an approximate restock time frame?

There's two MR Darth Maul sabers on sale near me for $120 total. Only problem is the couplers are missing. Anyone have one to spare if I go through with this purchase?

Oh maaaaan, my Ben Solo blade came today, so it's my first time igniting it. (I've had just the hilt by itself for a few days) I gotta say....I'm impressed!

What a huge step up from the previous FX sabers. The Flash on Clash is the selling point here, I think. (well, along with the super simple removable blade of course)

When it comes to responsiveness, this saber is clearly a step up from the first run of Legacy Sabers. I've noticed that the CLASH isn't really triggered from hitting the blade against something, but moreso from giving the hilt a small jolt by shaking it. Kinda cool, because when you're swing it around pretending to shadow fight, you can still get the CLASH sound simply by giving the hilt a shake. Lots of people complained about the sensitivity of this function, but again, it's clearly 10x more sensitive when it's done this way.

When it comes to the SWING, that is no where near the responsiveness of these $500+ custom sabers, but it gets the job done. I find that it responds more to slower, gradual movements over wild twirling and spinning. But again, I like to just stand there and look at it. :)

Idol sound is fantastic; and the yellow FLASH ON CLASH is super, super fantastic!

Looks great on my wall; last spot reserved for the Darth Vader Legacy saber, arriving on Thursday.

Oh man, you returned it already?

It's not flawed, you just didn't have the main blade "turned" and secured in place. Mine did that exact same thing for the first few minutes on Christmas morning; I was gutted because I had heard others having this same problem. I was ready to give in and accept that it is what it is, and then I realized how it's meant to attach.

You need to insert it until it can't go any further in, THEN push it harder, and you get a spring loaded feel, and it'll depress further into the hilt. While holding it in that extra bit, you turn it (clockwise I think?) and that'll LOCK it into place. Then replace the ring and screw it on.

By doing this, you are not allowing the contacts of the blade to fall out of contact with the conacts of the hilt. Without this extra step, the slightest swing, or tap will knock the contacts out of place and it'll shut off; sometimes even on it's own. It was wildly frustrating.

When you DO lock it in place, you can run around swinging and hitting it as hard as you like, as I've been doing since Christmas, and it won't go off. At all.

The saber is absolutely amazing and I hope others realize this sooner than later so they can stop spreading false negative reviews about it. Go buy it again! lol

I bought a second right after I returned the first one.

And I did all the correct steps with the first one.

This second one doesn't have the same problem as the first one did.

Oh wow! Was a defect in that product then.

Good, glad you got one that works properly. It's an awesome saber for the price.
