Well the colors are good (black) I just dig the 'car chest,' big shoulders, and toy head with more angular 'ears.' The FT set can do this style apparently, I was just hoping to have a different set for my bots and combiner. Guess I'd have to use DX9 for bots instead of FT to do so!

    Oh well, just curious :)

It's closer to what I expect of MM. The dark trailer is my least favorite thing about RK, but it might look weird having the light grey panels on his legs.

The more I've been anticipating this guy the more I've been looking at real tractor trailers and I think he's closer to correct than RK or MP10/44. The ratio of length to height should be about 5.5 to 1. RK and the optimii are about 3.5 to 1.

It's not that capone is too long, it's that everybody else is a short bus.

This is the picture I saw where I started to grey a bit leary on how well the cars attach to the legs.

Has DX9 officially shown or stated how to connect the carbots correctly?? I noticed a small grey piece inside the baggie that contains the instructions. Could this little grey piece have anything to do with the connection for 1 of the carbots?

Flipped through the manual and it doesn't show crap about how to connect the carbots to the limbs!

Watched this vid several times and he's also a little confused on how to attach the legbots so they snap on and stay on tight.

Okay, I finally got the hip ratchets on Menasor moving, but I'm having trouble putting the thigh back together now, it just does not want to close up, so that's annoying.

Anyways, Capone's transformation is great, so nice and simple compared to Road King or Gravestone. Nothing fancy, no weird movements, everything clips together.

If there was any doubt, he is definitely MP Optimus sized.

I like the transformation of the trailer to Menasor, its also relatively straight forward, though the stiff hip ratchet issue did sour me on this a little.

oohhh, you guys suck. Its pictures like these that made me order capone despite being in on the xtb set....... That and Dx9 seems to have a knack for making fun solid toys. Ive been a big fan since Carry. I like MPs that my kids and I can actually play with. probably either going to buy the arm bots or try to make an adaptor for the xtb guys.

Anyone have any good suggestions on fixing the legs? Tried flipping $180 degrees, but neither leg can go straight down. Feels like it’s going to break

Carry is one of the most underrated pieces of all time. He's not toon accurate so he got castigated by a vocal minority, but he looks and performs awesome. If their Menasor is half as good he'll be a solid piece, mack!

Mack? Too much Bobby Skullface I fear...

GOOD suggestions? No, but I can tell you what I ended up doing, which may not be the best solution. After doing a whole bunch of unnecessary stuff to try and fix it, in the end I ended up squeezing in a few drops of silicone shock oil into the hip ratchets. This definitely loosened the ratchets up, but they ALMOST feel too loose now. Like he stands and poses just fine, its not like the legs are giving. But grasping and rotating the legs along the ratchets I feel they move a little too easily than they should.

I feel dumb, because I ended up partially unscrewing the thighs, thinking I need to do so to get to the hip ratchets, but there's a couple of slits there at the hip joints that expose the ratchets. So I coulda just squeezed the oil right there. Anyways, after doing so, one of the thighs, the thigh pieces got misaligned and wouldn't squeeze back together. And it took me forever to figure out there are three screws (the silver locking screw, then two smaller screws inside the left and right hole of the grey piece at the bottom back of the thigh) you need to undo to able to remove the front thigh cover so you can fully split the actual thigh apart.

Which I do not recommend at all (taking apart the thigh) because it'll explode into a mess of springs and ratchets. I managed to put the friggin thing back together, but it was not fun at all.

Finally got him transformed and squared away! The scary tight hip joints and the friction only outward arms are the only 2 negatives I can give to this BEAST. I LOVE how everything tabs in and secures tightly in combined mode. Going to have DX9 as my Menasor and Fans Toys as individual Stunticons.

Hah, thanks for the advice. I'm probably going to have to at least try the oil -- taking it apart didn't work, and it just can't stand as it is right now.

Looks sharp, have you tried connecting the cars to his legs?

So you can stick MM's sword under the cab, and his gun to the side of the trailer, but is there storage for Menasor's sword? Like it fits under the trailer, but there does not seem go be any way to tab it in anywhere.

Anyways, got around to doing some more comparison pics. Its interesting, because RK is obviously the larger bot, but as I said previously Capone is the much bigger truck, and not just because of the trailer length. Like cab to cab, they're comparable:
    capone and rk h2h.jpg

But while RK being the entire truck means he's a bigger bot, this also entailed making his trailer much smaller (otherwise RK would be gigantic) So in alt mode, he looks small next to Capone:
capone and rk side by side.jpg

Heh honestly, if Capone's trailer was a little taller, you could prolly fit RK in it:
    capone and rk top.jpg
    capone and rk top back.jpg
Hmm, and I just noticed that RK is actually shorter than the Menasor part of the trailer.
