I'm going to go with two.

    Studio Series Grimlock.
I was pretty excited for it when it was first shown, but in hand it was horrible. Parts falling off, a compromised dino mode and a perma-club. He spent all of 7-seconds in bot mode and they made that the priority for the toy. That disappointed me to no end.

    Studio Series RotF Megatron.
My favorite movie Megatron design ruined by pieces falling off out of the box, and a lackluster paintjob. I really wanted to like it, but couldn't.

The LG Big Powered set and God Bomber. For the praise Takara gets, those were not engeneered as good as I expected. My copies of Dai Atlas (the main event of his set) and God Ginrai were floppy messes that make beautiful display pieces but mediocre action figures.

I would say I have a love/hate relationship with all of the combiners; weak joints, hfg's with no poseability and a single 5mm connector plug, badly implemented ratchets that prevents standing straight. I feel like every time I want to pose one I need 4 hands.

...but they are a bunch of dudes that form one big dude...who doesn't love that?!?

    Bumblebee.

He could have grown up to be a doctor, if he applied himself. Or settled down with a nice young girl. I want grandbabbies before I die!

Yeah, I took a collecting break after them. I'm now collecting MPM scale toys.
MPM4 was really disappointing with his qc issues. LT2 really fixed him up, though.

I remember I was so excited for it but after looking back a few years later, I was so disappointed and I wish I would've taken a break too and never wasted my money on toys that have received much better updates since then.

    1. AoE Crosshairs: totally inaccurate alt-mode, badly painted, missing so many crucial paint apps, and I bought the Takara version!
    2. Studio Series Bonecrusher: too short and too small

    Siege Shockwave recently.
i KNEW he was going to be small. I just wasn't truly prepared for how small. Got him for $29 and felt like i overpaid.

Definitely MPM4, honestly, the broken truck mode it's not even that bad.
The whole figure seems like a rushed attempt at trying to recreate what sometime was one of the best Optimus figures.
The fact that he could barely improve the leader even 10 years later.
Don't get me wrong, HE'S NOT BAD, as a figure it has nice articulation, balance, strong plastic, he's tons o fun too, but we need a better one.

TR Blitzwing and Octane. Octane has a lot of issues tabbing and could barely hold his own weapon without his arm drooping. On top of that, he had terrible stickers that peeled right out of the box. Blitzwing was a good design ruined by stickers and lack of paint. I really love triple changers, so they were especially disappointing. Currently, they're in storage.

Easily, TFP Go! Smokescreen. Transformation was a pain. It didn't matter how many.round trips. I was excited when I found this Japanese accurate version. Bought him for his high price too! Man, I was so disappointed. I gave him away instantly.

E63BFF25-179F-4B28-BC86-3BEBBA4D2BE8.jpeg UT challenger 1.0 , between the floppy ass excuse of a feet/toe joint/grill-sole that launched it off my shelf, loose left shoulder connection tab.
Those becareful or you might snap off the smokestacks because we over-sprayed it , becareful because the shield tab is too tight and you might snap it off detaching it from the arm once placed in.

That new head that came with their nemesis repaints and their upcoming dragoon that’s significantly an improvement over the old/current head we’ve got over here “when te just made you pay shipping for their new head” . Not to mention that v1.5 and eventual v2.0 of it without a care for early adopters of v1.0 of it .

Kinda just burned me off UT and knight prime as a whole ... well for now , I’ll stick to ss if they ever get to it
