I actually hate Crowbar much more than Berserker - all the engineering woes of the Berserker mold with long dreadlocks that don't store anywhere.

I got two PRID Airachnids to tear apart for a custom, and I feel bad for all the Prime collectors who had to put up with that terrible toy.

For me, the worst would be MPM Ironhide, for how close to the mark and yet how far off it is. Most Ironhide toys before had been excellent, but then they choose the definitive collectors version to experiment with the upper body and introduce a slew of design flaws. Not to mention they delayed it by about 6 months for no apparent reason.

A chicken you can't eat... This is pretty bad.
DOTM Sideswipe isn't that bad, just that there's better movie Sideswipes.
The Hot Rod retool is the definition of polishing a turd (if you liked Hot Rod's design).

I have only been back into collecting for a couple years so I don't have a lot to pick from and I usually can find something good about figures that many would consider bad.

But, for me, its ss long haul. What a floppy mess. I know that he can be fixed but I shouldn't have to fix a brand new figure. He almost killed my desire to complete devastator entirely.

For what I have personally bought, I would say T30 Blitzwing. Those shoulders were beyond crappy and both alt modes look crummy.

That said, I've avoided the movie toys, which seem to be heavily represented in this thread...

    LONG DOCUMENTARY

    The worst
Potp starscream: Horrible proportions, ugly stickers and an all around lazily engineered figure. Thank primus for the siege starscream mold

Prime airachnid: Ugly, miscolored blades for the copter mode, bad articulation and just feels like a cheap figure.

Leader class AOE/TLK prime: some of the worst figures I’ve ever owned. Horrible kibble, cheap looking silver plastic, below average articulation. You name it. It’s barely accurate to the movie. They didn’t even try. I’m actually starting to miss the over complexity of the rotf figures.

A majority of the RID2015 toys: This is the line that made me stop collecting transformers for awhile. None of my stores had any prime wars stuff at the time just all of these shitty rid toys. It was outrageous. Why do I hate this line you may ask? All of the figures look like cheap, lazy garbage and had almost all the problems that I hated in the aoe/tlk toyline. Shellformers,no paint aps, glorification of one step changers suffocating the line and the god awful combiners. Even the decent figures they brought out was way too simplistic and cheap for my liking. I get that this was aimed for a younger audience but keep in mind this was the only thing stores was selling around my area for a long time. It was terrible. Not only did it have some of the worst toys of the decade but it’s also the worst toyline of the decade.

    The Most disappointing

All of the potp dinobots. Why the hell didn’t they become a titan class combiner like devastator? And the bot modes would have scaled way better. Predaking did not deserve the spot at all. The combined mode is god awful and where the hell can poor slash be in the combiner? This thing was just a forced mess.

    Combiner wars optimus
The tiny, fugly head sculpt, fraux chest, gorilla proportions and overall ugly design didn’t sit with me. I was looking forward to it but I just didn’t like it at all. I sold it off a month ago and got siege Optimus. Great replacement.

    Figures that didn’t age well.

Potp Optimus: At first I thought this figure was spectacular. Even for me to say this was like a masterpiece figure on budget. Then once I got siege Optimus I started to notice how bad the figure is due to the main gimmick of the Orion pax figure turning into Optimus. Which badly hindered the truck mode and trailer. The robot mode didn’t age well too. The random trailer bits all over the figure makes it look sloppy and weird. The new earthrise Optimus already looks better than this one.

    Dishonorable mentions
    Foc Bruticus
    Power core combiners
    Foc Optimus
    Foc Jazz

    So many to choose from...

Not a fan of all the stylised aesthetics of modern lines such as the no nose Prime line or the cutesy Rescue Bots, Robots in Disguise and Bot Bots stuff.

    Honourable mentions:

Minimus Ambus. Tiny and I hate facial hair on Transformers. I actually threw him out.

Cyberverse Shockwave. I bought the first deluxe and Voyager toys but gave them to my nephews as the 'frown' just looks stupid.

Titans Return Octane. The Titanmaster can't sit in either the plane cockpit or truck cab which ruins it for me.

Masterpiece Ravage. A modern Beastformer that can't open and close it's mouth doesn't deserve to be called a masterpiece.

Titans Return Galvatron. The dull grey plastic of his face drained the character and life from the toy.

Titans Return Megatron. Same flaw as Galvatron.

Titans Return Scourge. The head just doesn't seem right. Pity because I love the alt mode.

Titans Return and Siege Astrotrain. Like all Astrotrains, they're too small.

POTP Battletrap. Reverted to the annoyingly small legend size class after the superior legend class started in Titans Return where Titanmasters could sit INSIDE their vehicle modes.

Titans Return Alpha Trion. I've always hated the character but I hate Wheeljack and Kup too and they've had a couple of good toys each.
Trion is guilty of the same crime as a lot of modern beastformers where they can't open and close their mouths.

Worst gimmick has to be Primemasters, second only to Cyber Planet Keys. Replaced the far superior Titanmasters and their interactivity with various Titanmaster bodies with those useless glyphs.
I'd have loved if Skullgrin, Cloudburst and the rest transformed into the heads of their G1 inner robots.

It's really hard to narrow down the field from 10-years of releases. Heck, it's almost difficult to keep track of what lines were even released.

I am going to leave out the kiddie lines and stuff not aimed at collectors. They aren't for me, so I don't think I should judge them as bad when I'm not the target audience.

Initially, I was going to go the easy route with the defacto Airachnid, but honestly, she isn't the worst figure in have ever owned and I still have her with my Prime collection.

    So...
    2019: Helicopter Dropkick
The only figure this year I returned for being an outright awful toy. Fiddly, bad joints, glued head, pieces popping off... awful.

    2018: Rodimus Unicronis
Owned it for a day before deciding it was utterly unforgivable as a design and returned it. Those shoulders were some of the worst engineering outside of Energon.

    2017: Last Knight Bumblebee
Returned this one, too. Floppy, wouldn't tab together and that horrible fake chest was an eyesore.

    2016: Titans Return Ravage
Poor Ravage. He never seems to catch a break.

    2015: CW Ultra Magnus
I just didn't like the quality, or the whole Minimus...thing.

    2014: AoE Deluxe Lockdown
Barely a representation of the character, and just a bad figure.

    2013: FoC Eject
All those data disk figures were bad, but this one combined bad and ugly.

    2012: Bruticus
Although the year of Prime Airachnid, which is pretty much the default answer for 2012, I chose Bruticus. So much potential, but ended up being a mess.

    2011: DotM Voyager Optimus Prime
What were they thinking? It barely resembled the character, and the alt mode was fugly.

2010: Name a Star Wars crossover. Any will do.

So the winner, in my opinion, is...
Rodimus Unicronis. I had high hopes for this one, but yeah, turned out to be utter rubbish.

Lots of great (crappy) choices for awfulness but as some of the heavier (s)hitters have already been rightly shamed I'm going for MP22, both to express my outrage at the only MP I've sold on the same day he arrived, but also to outrage those that still want to claim this fucking bloated, disappointing brick of pure let-down was the Herald of the Golden Age for MPs. Not in this house it wasn't.

    Fuck that noise.

    Airachnid no contest

Not a single part of her robot mode looks good or articulates well, she barely transforms and the coptor mode is a nonentity.

The only toy that could ever possibly be worse would be a MORE EXPENSIVE version of the same toy.

    PRID Airachnid, hands down.
It's not as bad as the Cyberverse line's beginning, but it was not only tantalizingly close to being decent, it was surrounded by fairly good figures. So the failure of that one figure was worse than an entire line of bad toys because of the grading curve. Her transformation is also completely incorrect and it hindered her potential articulation because of it. All of the other toys this decade that were listed in the poll were varying levels of disappointing, but they were all fairly good toys in the technical sense. Airachnid is a badly designed toy and couldn't be enjoyed even by detaching her from what her character is supposed to be.

Why is Galvatron apart of the poll? The “Teens” is from 2010-2019. That toy was released in 2008.

Going with Helicopter Dropkick. I am glad I don’t mess with the movie stuff but he looked fragile as hell.
