And here I am just wondering about the customization potential.

I'd be more excited for it if my brother would actually recruit people to our Clan so we could have a crew, but unfortunately he's not in a hurry to talk to other people. Then again it might help if he would come up with a better name than Space Hell Ninja Wizards.

Ok I need some help getting answers here. I've faced Tyl Rigor for the tenth time since unlocking his mission about two years ago. Here's the issue, no matter my warframe, weapon, and tool combination I cant deal any damage on him. Even using my abilities land no damage. Now it will act as though I did do damage but his health and shields dont deteriorate.

A friend of mine says my "copy" is broken but given this is an online game I doubt it since its online only.

Does this happen when you run with pubbies?

Otherwise, I'd say it might be a good idea to use the launcher to check the integrity of your files, just to be on the safe side.

Well my version is Xbox so i;m not sure how I'll read the files but I guess I'll get it on steam and start over. Been wanting to do that anyways. To clarify though what are "pubbies" in case i run into them on Pc version.

I haven't played for years, and tried giving the game another go.

I now have a dog, a jetpack, and a laser hoverboard. Man, things have changed.

It's like a completely different game, but the core is still there, and still pretty solid. The fortuna expansion is probably some of my favourite sci fi in a while. It's good to be back, let's see how long I stick with it this time.

Wait until you get the Jat Kittag hammer.

Its rocket powered, does exactly what you think it should do, and oh is it satisfying.

Sorry to necro, but I just started on this game, like literally just started. Here’s hoping I can learn the ins and outs.

I guess I'll chime in here, since the thread's back.

Been going on some Railjack missions after Empyrean came out. My Railjack isn't done, so I've been doing the missions with my brother. Two person missions are a colossal pain, but we've managed to get by without a full crew thus far - I love how the ships handle, though I can't say I enjoy how quickly I get shot down when deploying in Archwing. I am not geared for that at all.

There is strength in the old ways, tenno.

Just keep at it, don't worry about feeling tossed in the deep end, it's normal, and just keep moving forward from planet to planet for the time being (the nightwave quests are a good way to get some stuff right off the bat, as well, so maybe try to go for them as you go through your other missions). Focus on the quests, imo, they open up new stuff for you sooner rather than later. Don't spend your plat on anything but slots unless you want to buy more.

Now might be a good time, with the empyrean expansion.

So, just keep moving straight forward focus on the quests, got it. But for how long? When should I start doing other things?

Once you have all the planets and zones unlocked, I'd, say, by then you should have a better idea of where you want to put your time to grow further.

Just getting into it myself, now that my PC is capable, although I've barely registered, even. I've liked the lore and designs for a long time, so I'm pretty spoiled on story up to certain points - but playing it yourself is different than just reading about it.

Couple small questions as I'm even setting the game up, because I haven't yet figured out how to parse a lot of the wiki: which starter 'frame is hardest to get if you don't pick it? I like the look and idea of all three starters and plan on catching them all eventually (insert pokeframe joke here).

One of my weaknesses in any game, video or TT, is that I often like the look and idea and style of the weird control-and-fancy-tricks choices, but then I turn out to be absolutely terrible at playing them. Are the starter 'frames actually pretty forgiving?

I plan on being super-casual - I will never put real money into the game, and I already know to never spend account platinum on anything except roster slots.

All three are fairly easy to acquire down the road. Pick which one appeals to you or looks like you'll have the better time with. I went with Excalibur, but traded him in as soon as I heard I could get a Rhino. Got Rhino *very quickly and haven't looked back since.

Speaking of frames, I have Atlas Prime in the oven right now! I'm super excited for him.

Tagged this thread and forgot to post any further. Took Excalibur for my starter 'frame; and the bow, pistol, and staff in the tutorial. Haven't looted anything else yet, but I'm having fun so far - insamuch as I've completed the tutorial quest and I'm still not 100% used to the controls. 'Wrong button' still happens a lot.

That said, like the pace even in solo mode, and I think this is going to last me a good long time as a game I can just pick up for a couple hours now and then. Yes, I want to slug Darvo, Vor's an ass, and Ordis is entertaining already.

Excal's a good starter frame. He'd probably be a pain to get otherwise (his parts drop from the Mars boss, Lech Kril, who is a bit annoying to deal with). Mag, on the other hand, is pretty easy to get once you reach Phobos. The Sergeant is the easiest boss in the game, so he's pretty easy to farm for Mag parts if you have the time or interest to do so.

Yeah, I want to try Mag out as a control caster, so if I can get to that part of the map and get her early, so much the better.

Other 'frames I know I want to work my out to, long term, are Inaros, Mesa, and Limbo - I just love 'em thematically, even if they turn out lousy in solo play.

So, dragging this one up because I have a couple questions and the 'what are you playing' thread moves way too fast. As far as story quests go, I finally cracked into the next step of Vox Solaris (and am banging my head against it), so I took a look around and I didn't even realize I had unlocked Once Awake and Howl of the Kubrow. Considering that I'm a rank casual and prefer to play solo, would one of the two be more profitable for me? I've glanced over the non-spoilery parts of the wiki, and I still don't grok a lot of the charts and tables.

Once Awake basically introduces you to the Infested, but shouldn't be too bad to solo.

Howl of the Kubrow, however, allows you to unlock the incubator machine and thus grow Kubrows (and later, MUUUUUUUUUUCH later, Kavats). Kubrows take your sentinel slot when equipped and have their own set of skills, mods, and variations. As a solo player, I would say go for this questline since kubrows can be offensive machines and are far more aggressive than Sentinels.
