I didn\'t know it was still active till this point. Can\'t say I\'m overly bummed about a game I never played and never thought I would play. But it did look fun and it is unfortunate that yet another Transformers game is delisted. Certain Affinity will hopefully pull through but this doesn\'t give me much hope.

The last GOOD TF game was Fall of Cybertron. You'd think that Hasbro would look at that success and be like "Yeah that looks good, gimme more of that". But no.

its EA syndrome. They will forget what made the games popular and keep adding features and or systems that we don't like until there is a giant controversy and then they'll have a Jedi fallen order moment where they finally realize "wait..... what if we made a thing people want?"

It really is the most dumbfounding thing really. If you make a product the audience actually wants instead of what you think the audience wants, you are GUARANTEED sales. A true wonder of business if you ask me. For a perfect example, I point to Warframe. THAT is how you make and maintain a game.

I learned the hard way after Kabam shut down Imperium: Galactic War that online games are fleeting. I have no intention of playing ANY game that requires online play. Ever.

Can we get another GOOD Transformers game again please? Fall of Cybertron is still one of my all-time favorite games and is honestly the best Transformers game we ever got. I had high hopes that the War For Cybertron toyline would result in a War For Cybertron video game reboot. Imagine if it got the God of War treatment with a gritty, thoughtful, well-designed reinvention. *sigh* if only.

Story wise War and Fall are absolutely amazing. I just want an action adventure style game again in an open world next time around.

I love the Aligned games story, environments/aesthetics and gameplay but I still felt that it was lacking. It was very the same kind of linear “shoot em up here and then do the same there” approach through the games.

I want to be rewarded for exploring an area like the PS2 Armada game. New powers/abilities, secret characters/areas + Easter eggs.

This seems to follow a similar pattern than I noted recently in a similar discussion on our Videogames forum:Could there be more Marvel Games?

It seems to me that the gaming industry in general has shifted heavily away from big-budget licensed games in recent years. High-definition, current-gen games are so expensive to produce nowadays that devs don't want to be beholden to licensing agreements on top of that all. They don't want to have to pay a portion of their proceeds back to the licensor, or be stuck in the position like Activision was where they have to continually renew licensing agreements to be able to sell their games.

There's been a dearth of high-quality licensed content in the industry for quite a number of years now, with only a few notable outliers (mostly WB, because they still maintain their own games division, whereas say, Disney, shuttered their own division a number of years back).

Most licensed content nowadays is either relegated to hand-held consoles, where the asset development is far cheaper, or the efforts are being funneled into the lucrative (and predatory) mobile market.

FOC was the last good TF game? Am I the only one who liked Devastation?

Personally, I have found every single mobile and "free" Transformers game to be P2W garbage, regardless of them being exclusive to any platform or geographical location. Every time a P2W game closes, or a studio responsible primarily for such crud folds, I feel the world has become a slighty better place to live in.

I wanted to like Devastation so much, but no it didn't do it for me.
The graphics were an eyesore(overly saturated and bright/bloom-y) the gameplay was repetitive and the voice acting was atrocious, not to mention the plot was terrible.

Yeah, probably needed more of the whole "Everyone is a bad guy" Bethesda crap that people pass off as moral ambiguity these days.

Which is why my Game library is small. Because there's next to no love and real effort put into the newer AAA titles.

    Absolutely 100% agree!

I’d die for a remaster with extra content or even an inspired remake.

Even if it was just an Overwatch clone, they game still had great designs. This is easily the coolest Blackout outside the movie version.

Oh absolutely not, I put Devastation along with FOC as best Transformers game. Visuals capture the cartoon really well, and it has an amazing soundtrack. Devastation is also the hardest Transformers game too if you like a good Platinum Games challenge. (I know the NES TF game was harder but that one is more like torture than a real video game)
