I also put myself on the list of those who wait for a mpm Brawl... That's the line I collect and I think the ko os versions are still not enough accurate.... Hope to see him someday

I forgot who asked but here's the height for rotf Voyager Demolisher in both modes.
    20191218_022420.jpg

With the wheels scrunched down he's 20.5cm. Kinda tricky to see from the angle of the camera.

    20191218_022455.jpg

With the wheels extended up he's 22.5 cm.

If you're looking for balljoints and sockets, I recently found the perfect place to get those for very cheap.
    IMG_20191218_024917_481.jpg IMG_20191218_024906_872.jpg IMG_20191218_024925_189.jpg IMG_20191218_024923_221.jpg

These are lego parts that you can buy in bulk from bricklink.com. One of the pics is from savioprime's custom. You'd probably have to cut the square socket part off from the rest of the grey piece.

I've never liked that mold from how bland the original grey figure was. But seeing that deco makes me want to buy it now.

I have a good pin removal tool called a "rolling pin punch" from tekton. 1/16 inch which is basically 1mm I think. I just line it up against the pin and hit it with my small hammer and after a few taps it should be out. Got it on ebay for pretty cheap with free shipping. If you want a link just pm.
As for the unfortunate predicament with the wings, maybe later down the line someone's own megatron copy will have like a defective part and they'll need to part ways with their figure and you could taking their copy off of them and end up using their wing parts. Otherwise at least your Megatron copy has slimmer legs which looks more movie accurate. Think of it like removing the extra vehicle kibble off a figure to make it look more streamlined. I never transform my figures so something like that wouldn't bother me so much.

I never knew there was a ko of the ss constructicons???

I keep a pack of 100 rubber medical gloves I always put on whenever I do custom work that involves messy liquids or adhesives. Saved me the trouble of having to scratch off hardened superglue on my fingers or paint getting on my hands. And when I do physical customizing like cutting parts or using a saw or exacto knife I usually wear like cut proof gloves. There's been a few accidents since I started customizing where I accidentally cut one of my fingers real bad and since then I wear protective gloves.

I'm hoping Dr.Wu will make a movie accurate gun for dotm Soundwave. If I recall correctly, soundwave's dotm guns looked like submachine guns.

How are you attaching Prime to the ceiling? I've been meaning to get some type of flight stand or something that connects a figure like dotm jetpower prime or Drift's heli mode in the air.

The way I see it, I'm gonna collect both car Shatter and Jet Shatter. For me to have just car Dropkick would seem a little weird. Having both dropkicks and both shatters would feel like my BB collection is more complete. If you get my drift. I might just end up having jet shatter and heli dropkick in their vehicle modes on a flight stand displayed behind their car mode counterparts in robot form. I know heli Dropkick isn't a very interesting figure but a completionist like me just has to have all forms of the main villains.

What do you think about the weijiang (I think it's weijiang??) Upscale of the leader class Brawl? I think that one's badass especially with how the tank cannon attaches to the right arm. I might have mixed up the brands, I've lost track of all the different ko upscales of movie decepticons.

Thanks, the wheels are from a HFTD Ratchet. Ill look into the head, colors don't matter much to me, ill repaint everything.
    Thank you for the idea!

Pictures can lie,so I only use the measurements of the real vehicles.
For Ironhide, I used the measurements from GM's own paiges based on the Chefrolet Kodiak and GMC Topkick. especially the Dual cab 4x4 C4500.
I also used the measurements by Monroe's Ironhide edition based on that same truck. (1 inch shorter due to the Road Armour bumpers) so these measurements are what I could find in regard of him. two beetles should be longer than one topkick but not by much.. two beetles should have 52 cm's on one GMc Topkick.

Interesting! thank you for this! I ordered a lot of balljoints from a hobbyshop in japan (ebay) but ill look into these to, thank you!

Jup, they are all there, I bought a KO Longhaul to make into a Onslaught.

It is an idea, I do have big hands trough, so those gloves are extremely tight. And I dont like that restrictive feeling. that is why I just Customise and afterward ill clean my hands with a special cleaner. I have had accidents to, but that is all part of the "fun"

So I measured my TLK BB and Hot Rod once again. According to Red Goblin's scale chart BB appears to be 1/38.6 when Hot Rod's 1/37.8
I think they're close enough to display with SS carbots

Did you base that on botmode or carmode? TLK Hotrod really is to big, I have him here and he is 1:34/35

I measured only the length of the car based on RG's scale AOE Scale Chart Thread
He appeared to be 13 cm long when actual vehicle is 4.924044 meters

I think he is the best option at the moment, he has a very beautiful and good scaled alt mode and quality plastics and joints. But the robot mode is not much accurate, even though he looks mean and menacing.... I would take this if I were sure no mpm will come

    image.jpg image.jpg
He needs to wait a little cause I am working on Prime’s trailer/armoury but it will be a fun build.

    Yeah, u're right, he's 1/37.8 instead of being 1/39.
Speaking about Lockdown, according to RG's scale chart, Lockdown is 188.2 in when Hot Rod is 193.86 in. So he supposed to be smaller than Hot Rod since Aventador is shorter than Centenario

true the Centenario is longer but converted to 1:39 that would be a mere 0.38 cm, or 0.15 inch and when you acount for the width and hight of Hotrod he is more near 1:35 in scale, the reason I am selling my custom ;-)

I went to a few TRU stores to find the newest SS figures like DOTM Soundwave or 2007 Megatron, and while I didn't find anything from wave 8 after I purchased my SS-49 from Mid Valley which is kinda disappointing...

    IMG_20191218_191507.jpg

The visit isn't a complete waste of time, however, as the TRU staff put 4 copies of SS-44 Optimus Prime on the shelves when I'm looking for some new Studio Series stuffs. With the year-end holiday discount of anything Studio Series related at TRU for 33%, I purchase one immediately as soon as it was put on shelves.

The trailer itself looks a bit weird in terms of proportions and some silver paint on the trailer would've been ideal, but for what it is it serves its purpose; and at the very least, the trailer itself can interact with Optimus Prime himself in both modes.

I'm really desperate for mixmaster and arcee to show up near me. Hot Rod is terrible and Megatron is only OK to me. I'm planning on getting two sets of the arcees, one for painting up a lot and one for keeping in case my painting gets messed up. Or if it goes really well and I have fun then I might sell the first set as a custom and do it all again! Yay!
You think it was the designer's fault? I cut the cannon most of the way off and I don't regret it at all. Try and be a little more positive in this appreciation thread. You might like it!
