Got a bit of modding on this guy done including some KFC hands (for Hot Rod). I don't usually photoshop my pics, but I thought a little BLUR was appropriate in this case. Have a blessed week everyone!

Ok, so the right arm / shoulder on my Jabber is very loose so I opened him up to tighten the screw there. Now putting him back together I can’t get the neck tabbed in for love nor money! It went in fine he first time. Also the back doesn’t seem to close up how I remembered it going before either... I’ll take some pics to demonstrate if I can’t sort it soon...

Worked before, you did "something", now it doesn't work. Its clearly the fault of FT.....

All joking aside, take it back apart and see if something shifted inside during reassembly.

hmm, actually I think it is tabbed in. It's so loose that it doesn't really feel connected. I assumed there was a "next" level of clickage but there isn't, just a very gentle "bump". So all good.

Wow! Very impressive and I’m sure it was no easy task considering you have very limited room to work with.

3P fully articulated hands for 3P MPs is much needed. It is greatly underserved market.

Indeed. I am just not a fan of the KFC ones. I bought them and was going to fill that gap at the wrist with plastic resin and then drill a hole in it to match the stock ones for Hot Rod but, I decided against it. I am just not a fan of the fingers. My own personal opinion. I'll just keep the stock.

The ball joints and lack of pinned hinges make for very fiddly KFC hands. Now on the other hand (hehe) if Fans Toys made such hands (with pinned hinges!), it would be fabulous. The Stunticon hands are so fun to mess with.

Yup. They are fiddly and they look kinda odd iMHO since they are all about the same length. Matter of preference. :D

OK, any suggestions welcome. The crest on the top of my Jabber has developed a crack - probably due to pressure applied from either transforming him or pushing the head down to try to get it to lock in robot mode.
The crack isn't all the way through, and I'm reluctant to try to open it up in order to get any glue in there because I'm pretty sure it will snap off. But it definitely need something.

I've also emailed FT support for a new ankle pin, as it turns out it was missing one for the left foot.

Just transformed Jabber to bot and alt mode again today. Nothing broke so far (only slight stress mark on right calf panel pin that hasn't grown since day 1) and transformation still makes me sweat a little. And this is bearing in mind I'm really OK with Koot's transformation. Anyway I can't deny both modes are really satisfying. The elbows are really loose on mine but I realise the trick is to use the tighter lower joint of the double elbow.

Also put the Targetmasters together for a quick photo.

That's a great pic! What structure is that in the background?

Thanks for the compliment! The backdrop is made up of the mechanical chain base, originally from Kotobukiya. but there's plenty of the KO versions around and for much cheaper. It's the same base that Bens Collectibles and Vangelus use for their video reviews.

Is it still not safe to transform this guy?? I’m awfully tempted, but feel I’ll prolly ruin the holidays worse than the latest Star Wars movie ... :)

People have figured out ways to do it. Some of it includes clipping some tabs, though I don't think it's required. I haven't looked into it, and I'm still waiting (though not at all expecting) to see if they ever make a whole new setup for that hinge.

Some day I'll transform mine, regardless. It just feels wrong not to do that with a toy where that's what it's meant for. But can't really be bothered at the moment.

...and you may want to wait until after New Years. Just in case... ;)

I don't have Hoodlum (didn't see a need to get him). It's the Takara version in my pic. :)

I received Jabber for Christmas this morning. Love him. Transformation wasn’t too bad. I definitely needed to shave some plastic to get it to snap together. One side wouldn’t go so I may try again soon. I’m away from home visiting family but I’ll post some more pictures when I’m home. Include pics of what you’ve modded if you can pls! ... I wna transform this guy (love all the Movie bots), but all the negative buzz early on freaked me out, and having already broken FT’s Arcee, can’t handle another TF fiasco ...

I got him for Christmas from my wonderful parents. I've just seen that on the page dealing with attaching the guns to alt mode the title is HOW TO OPEN THE DOOR!
