Well it would make sense, to have all three headmasters available at the same time for latecomers.

 

Make sense for latecomers, doesn't mean it makes sense for FT.

 

I don't believe they have the production capabilities to do that.

 

Funny given most 3p in their position either make more room to meet demand or buy their own factory. The more likely scenario is false scarcity which has kept their prices and money piling up.

 

I have to believe that with 8ish painted bots that are definitely in some form or fashion the group coming out next that FT may get another one or two by year end. Bandit, Hollywood, and Viper definitely seem to fit into the priority but the combiner skeletons may take more time and leave room for other releases. They have definitely moved up the speed on Acoustic Wave like they did for Thomas. I have seen nothing on Berserk but that also may be another priority after Acoustic Wave. FT has planned this so well and have so many releases ready that I have to believe they have set themselves up for a engineering development year in the background for both Fortress and their new combiners. Like Hoodlum and Jabber got pushed back I have to think that Chomp will drop somewhere in that blank release space. I still expect Scourge to also get announced this year out of just completeness. I also expect that Fort Max will be a Cerebros, Cog, C, and D type release that buys them time to get sales and complete the cores. In 2021 they will need this backlog cleared out so they can start releasing this stuff.

yeah pretty much it although i think that flap at the top will have to be closed

zooming in you can see the connection coming up from the foot at the front and down from the knee which looks like it will be a really solid

 

This is absolutely right and the first time I have noticed this but on the mid chest of Goose and Iceman you can see where the hook flap from the combiner knee will plug in and have the slide rails on top of the shoulders to lock the knee in place. You can also tell with that knee guard that they don't want any of the movement hindered or involving Goose or Iceman so all of the knee and double joint is isolated there to not break the sculpt and the circle behind the inside of the knee guard looks too big to be a screw and might be the second knee. I think we will see some identation on the back of the combiner thigh to extend the movement so that the wing kibble has less of a hindrance effect on motion than it would have. The engineering on Goose and Iceman for the arms, leg, and chest are virtually identical including the connector points, very smart. Include Hollywood and Viper in that discussion with a few exceptions including the torso with a telescoping feature for an elbow joint.

 

I’ve assumed the head is flipped back to get out of the way of the knee joint.
