Always wanted to see how these two would scale with each other. Armada Optimus would have been my first Optimus but my dad never got round to buying him its still awesome to finally get him after all this time.

Remember not being able to find that bad boy in the stores and finally ordering online. Delivery person could never catch me at home so I could sign for it, so had to go to the UPS place directly to pick it up. First Unicron for me and many others.

Just scored Armada Cyclonus last week for only $16. I guess the upside to the Unicron Trilogy getting flak is that it's kept the toys cheap.

 

Depends which ones.

Some repaints and tail ends now worth gold.

 

May I know which are they?

 

Cobybot and blue Ramble from Cybertron, for starters. Unicron always costs a pretty penny.

 

in no particular order :

Powerlinx Optimus (twice its original retail price)
Costco Optimus (more than 450$ the rare times it show up on listings)
Energon Wingsaber never sells under 100$
Galaxy force optimus (black pants) : never saw a complete one under 150$ these days
Black rodimus, more and more rare these days, I got it for 70$, but now it's more 140$
Omega sentinel never sells under 150$

And probably some others. Added to that, once you go on the japanese version (different paint scheme on some characters), it's at least 4x the hasbro price.
For example, Megalo convoy (metroplex) is always around 250$, while you can get complete hasbro one for ~40$ and boxed ones for ~50$.

Don't even try Japanese exclusives, sets like magma convoy or sonic convoy are around 600$
