I just got this figure from toy dojo today. I thought there would be a Diaclone mech included. Is it just that some vendors got the bonus figure and others did not?

 

Was it opened? I would contact Toy Dojo for your mech. Honestly I don't think I have ever not gotten a mech in an MFT figure that had one on release. Even a year after it came out. I do not think its a preorder thing.

 

Some come with, others without (for lower cost). Waiting for my next paycheck so i can get the one with the mech.

 

Toy dojo and BBTS both have it for 54.99, but only BBTS advertises the Mech.

 

Which is odd b/c the mechs are KO of diaclone, which they also carry. Is it under MFT or Mech Planet? I think the latter is how they manage to slide.

I also got mine from Toy Dojo sans the mech. Maybe it is a seller to seller thing like was said.

 

I received mine from Show.Z and it included the red mech in a baggy inside the main box. What should be noted is that the main box was opened (tape seal broken on one end), so I can only imagine that was done in order to add the mech to the package after the fact and most likely did not include it from the factory.


Some quick size comparisons:

 

According to MFT, the diaclone mech only included in the first batch of the release and it won't be included in the second batch release.

 

Is there anything else that sort of previso applies too ?
Just incase I am hovering something up late - and there is something I need to watch for, I actuall ordered the mech on it's own 1st and plan to get "Rodimus" a little later as I liked the idea of having a pair of the red containers. which looked like they'd complement a lot of other official Diaclone things due in the coming weeks and hopefully anything else MFT might get around to making.

 

Why the hell doesn't TFsource have these yet? I preordered there and apparently you can't cancel a preorder?

I'm worried if I wait, they will never get them and all the other stores will sell out to scalpers.

TFSource often times gets things later than others. But don't worry, if you've ordered it.. you'll get it.

However, the trick is to not pre-order items, but add them to your 'Stack'. It reserves one for you, but you can still remove it from your stack until it's been paid for, and they don't charge you until it comes in stock.

You can ship your stack any time you want, or wait till it hits at least $150 total and get free shipping.

I kinda like that TFSource gets stuff later... it lets me do my shopping, add everything to my stack, then if I start seeing bad reviews, or find it cheaper somewhere else, I can remove it.

I've never not gotten something I've ordered from them.

 

Ok. Great. I'm just freaking out seeing people get theirs and mine won't even been in the store until next month.

 

Also their arrival dates are largely meaningless... they're usually taken from info provided by the manufacturers, and will get arbitrarily bumped up from delays... but they could get the product in next week.

What you really want to look for is when they send out newsletters and they get posted to the front page here. Some products will be listed as 'coming soon' or 'arriving this week'. That's when you know it's actually close.

Got mine from ShowZ today. Initial impressions, he was what I had hoped for. Of course there are things that could be better but nothing that detracts from my enjoyment of the figure as Rodimus Prime. It's unlikely I'll often use the car mode but the robot and Space Winnebago modes work for me as Rodimus. It was a neat discovery (for me anyway) that he can keep on the gray shin covers when going into the Winnebago alt mode. Hopefully MST or NA or someone will tackle regular Hot Rod down the road. I think all in all I'd be happier if they stopped trying to cram both versions into one figure.
