My biggest concern is S7 being boneheads and trying to get us to buy a bunch of Conan figures before giving us what we actually want. Not enough people are interested they drop the license before we get the most wanted version of Conan. Annoying.
Yeah, I agree with ya! I was quite stumped when I saw the PO line : the pit fighter Conan is a poor choice.
I really hope S7 don’t botch the Cats...just release the cast from the first episode and anything beyond that is a bonus for me.
Good luck. He was saying he had reveals set up quarterly and we haven’t seen shit. We’ll be lucky to see another wave before 2021.
Yeah, I’m worried because it seems they’re taking too many licenses. E.g. TMNT, Toxic Avenger, NJPW etc.
Well, to be fair they usually don't show off a wave until right before it goes up for preorder and we were given a schedule for the next couple of waves of Thundercats and TMNT. Keep in mind this is for when the preorders will open up and nothing to do with when they will actually be released. The list can be seen in this post on the Toyark Power Con 2019 - Super 7 Turtles, New Thundercats, MOTU WWE and More! - The Toyark - News As you can see the preorders for wave 2 of Thundercats isn't until January of next year and wave 2 for TMNT doesn't go up for preorder until March 2020. I would expect to see them soon at this point given how they usually do things. Of course, then there's the wait of when they'll actually release the product as they do seem to have an issue with releasing on time.
I get the frustration. They're consistently behind with their releases so that doesn't really instill faith in what they say they're going to do.
Sounds like Super 7 has not learned they should not bite more than they can chew. I am happy that they're doing Conan, TMNT, Thundercats Classics, but at the same time, I worry about the QC. Super 7 is a small company compared to NECA, Hasbro, Playmates, and Mattel. I hope they have learned to be more aggressive with staying on top of the factory in getting QC to above average overall at least. I don't mind delays as long as the end result is a clean, polished product that leaves me completely satisfied and feeing the wait was worth it.
Agreed. Hopefully, the reason they've been delaying stuff lately is to catch any QC issues. Given they're a smaller production I can give them a certain amount of leeway in terms of getting on the ball with this kind of thing. That said you'd think they'd have figured it out after having the MOTUC license for, what, two years now?
I remember the QC I got with my 1st filmation wave Teela: Horrible painted face. Man at arms: missasambled. Had the bellybottom in the back. Hordak: Horrible ankles. Always falling off the shelf. Triclops: This is the better of the batch, but the visor doesnt move at all. Even trying the hot water trick wont put it to work.
The QC issues Ive had: Tri-Klops - Visor/helmet stuck in place because of too much glue. Hordak - Legs fell off right out of the box because crotch halves cracked. Waist stuck shut because of glob of black paint between torso and belt/waist. Went to the trash bin. Unsalvageable. Man-E-Faces - Face stuck because of too much glue. Can't get it free to this day. She-Ra - Face was a total loss. Wonky legs. Went to the trash. Total loss.
So who has seen the new WwE MoTU wrestling rink at Walmart? I’ve seen tons of them. Are kids interested in this? Or collectors? Or anybody? Not sure what the target audience is....?
Ive seen some talk over WFF (wrestling figures forum) and most of the members agree that the fate of this line could be 50/50 because MOTU is seen as a long gone franchase by most wrestling collectors. Me? I hope it success. I collect some of the regular elites and Im curious on how these masters of the wwe are going to interact with the Origins. But Im not collecting those. Im almost done with MOTU as is.
Is there a Loyal Subjects thread? I picked up Randor and Orko at Walmart this morning. I don’t do these but those 2 are pretty neat.
