I thought mine was frigged up too, but after I simply pushed the rotors into the back farther, the backpack snugged in better and the ‘v’ slot catches the rotors nicely locking them where they should be.

Now I'm thinking to buy a double of all the Ark characters just so I could display them on vehicle modes.... anyone here actually does that?

So wanting insight on Spinister and Crosshairs.

For background, my involvement with TF was not as high as GIJoe (Yo Joe!) so I only had a small handful from each year. For ‘87, I had Headmasters, but I didn’t have any Targetmasters. My involvement in TF really tapered off in ‘88. I had Powermaster Prime from that year but nothing else that I can recall.

So with these two figures I don’t have any nostalgia driving me towards them. I’d always planned to get definitive CHUG versions of the 82-87 figures though. Is this Crosshairs the one for CHUG or is it worth holding out for another update? Is ‘88 worth diving into and/or is Spinister just that cool enough a toy to pick up regardless? To be honest, I would love to sunset my TF collecting days but Habrso just keeps cranking out cool stuff and better updates to the G1 series.

Yes. I was like you, and have no connection to the character. But color aside (IMO), Spinister is a fantastic figure.

I thought it was a Hebrew secret?

Reminds me of the time years ago I went to Books A Million the day before Halloween and they had a huge Christmas tree already decorated in the middle of the store.

Here is a picture of one of the best things to come out of Siege:

I'd love to have more but they are $30 a piece. That's like 2 Brunts!

i highly doubt crosshairs will get a better figure in the near future, and the siege figure is spot on for bot mode already

I don't have any attachment either, and if anything, I really didn't bother with many that aren't original crew.

At first, I felt like I might end up being a completist for the first time of any line, the first first waves in which I figured Chromia to be the odd-one out so I got one and I took the weaponizers as special figures so didn't mind getting them, considering that they were associated with the Titans anyways.

After the recolours of the micromasters, and that fact that they were almost all very flimsy and loose, I stopped getting those. Then, again, more and more recolours characters that I simply didn't care for at all and didn't work at all for me. Reusing Prowl's mold for Barricade was just bad for me, they could have at least did some remolding in part and not just a direct recolor. The rainmakers are just too neon, and the powerdashers being nothing more than the weaponizers rehashed. Then all the "exclusives" especially for the main characters, Ratchet and Skywarp being a horrible choice for such. The only non-main crew that I would like are Redwing and Galactic Man, and I can't even get them here without jumping through hoops and paying double if not triple what same sized figure are priced at. I keep hoping that ToyRus or EBgames will eventually get them.

So all this to say, my take on Spinister and Crosshair is that Crosshair has absolutely no value to me as he's only a repaint of Ironhide, and I don't like the colour scheme on it.. too "murican" looking (no insult intended, it's just too blaring to me).

But Spinister is a completely new mold, and an interesting one too. The chopper actually does look great, and the figure has lots of merits, with great articulation, is a good size for a Deluxe, aside the tail section being a HUGE gap, the rest is solid. I just managed to get it and he is most probably the last Siege figure I'll be getting (unless I can get a Redwing and possible a Galactic Man at decent price as I actually really like their colour schemes).

I’ve been thinking the same thing. ‘88 characters are generally so obscure IMO that they’re unlikely to do another. Then I think stranger things have happened. I like the Ironhide mold but I hate it when a critical G1 update is using a mold that’s been recycled from other figures. It’s one thing when the original G1s were the same mold to begin with but that’s not true in some of these cases. I guess I just wish they had gone to a little more effort on the vehicle.

Wow, that's actually the saddest "kit" I think I've seen. I'd rather fill the gaps with hot glue or such than spend almost 15$ or more (exchange and shipping) for something like that.. seriously, new guns or something might have made it a bit more worthwhile.
