Awesome review! The silver paint is so good. I plan to pick him up when he's on discount

He isn't the first SS figure to have ankle tilt. All SS Primes, Jetfire, Grimlock, Blackout, ROTF Megs, Jazz, Ratchet, Long Haul, Bonecrusher have ankle tilt. There may be more but that's all I remember.

Not shown is Battle damaged megatron because I honestly didn't see the point of getting him down if he's like the ROTF figure with battle damage paint

Damn, he looks nice in robot mode but wish he was like the old 2007 Leader version. It would be nice to see modern version of those sturdy bots.

But...I know, I know, this is the cheap hollow plastic syndrome era, something like that is to much for modern CHPS Transformers. A man can dream, a man can dream...

The plastic is lighter and has more flex on megatron

Also a really big improvement to the 2007 Leader Class. I may have to get rid of that one.

This figure went from a hard pass to an instant buy. He looks gorgeous even with the reused chest.

ROTF Megatron, both Optims Primes and Jetfire for sure have them.

man, i want to like this guy, but the legs look so disproportionate to the upper body. reminds me of some of the pre-movie cgi renders we got for him. i really like the mpm, but the original voyager still remains my favorite toy version of the design just because the wings give him some much needed visual flair in robot mode.

it does look like a fun ass toy, tho.

Actually...The paint job, and damaged head on that version is pretty awesome. they even did a bronze color on it in spots. I love the ROTF design and the mold, both versions were in instant buy for me. Next time you see the battle damaged one in stores take a close look. The paint really looks good.

Got one during the week-end. Nice paint, but the toy itself is a bit shitty. Wonky legs in robot mode, empty forearms, weapon that does't fit all that well... Jet mode isn't the best either.

"a little" he says. lol (i.e. that's a great amount of tilt). Thanks for the review!

Really excited for this guy. I've been wanting an '07 Megs for some time now. Despite his flaws (boxy legs, wrong chest), I think he looks great. Don't even mind the inaccuracies, and the silver paint is gorgeous!

Hasbro Asia ultimate edition optimus prime. It's made for the old rotf leader optimus but fits better in scale in the ss line

    Received mine today from Amazon.
First impression is a good one. Nothing fell off in the box or during transformation, so that's always a good sign.
The transformation is pretty fun and I really like that so much locks into place.
I do have longevity concerns for the shoulder joints as the light gray plastic is the bendable type. Poor choice of usage there, but understandable as the flex is almost necessary.
I'll put it through it's paces later on, but for right now I really like the figure.

Got mine from Amazon. I'm not a fan of the movies, but when I saw the review, this particular figure just works for me.

One thing I'll point out that I think most people may miss is that the shoulders do lock into place in robot mode. It goes back further then you may think and requires a bit of elbow grease the first time, but it clicks and locks hard.

What sucks about this figure is lack of an energy weapon. Any temporary suggestions till we get one from a third party or if hasbro decides to release a proper one?

I just bought him tonight, finally an accurate '07 Megatron that slaughters the original Leader (with light up chest) and arctic with cheesy blue ice hanging off him.

My SS Jazz wants to go into witness protection, he fears getting torn in two.

I absolutely love the silver paint job.
