I know so many people think it went badly off the rails, but I really do love Furman's IDW work. His refusal to play it safe was, ultimately, as much of a weakness as it was a strength. Embracing the likes of Sixshot and Hardhead was so bloody refreshing!
And while my head is turned in the direction of the past, let's take a moment to remember what an intense flavour bomb TR Sixshot was. I spent AAAAAAAGES playing with him on Christmas Day 2016, resolute to follow the G1 challenge of changing him without looking at the instructions.

Starscream Studio (3rd party 3d printed upgrade kits) released some TR / Legends kits. I haven't tried any of their stuff yet. However, the main downside already is the price. They are way more expensive than everyone else out there.

I already found a way to give Sentinel a kind of makeshift armor power up and Overlord's sets look great, but not really anything I need. I could be interested in buying some of those sets, but they are indeed way too pricey for what I'd want to pay.

 

Especially considering they are 3d printed kits and none of them do what I want done. Adding height.
And for what it costs I may as well hunt down mmc’s version

 

Quick question for you guys;

Sometime in the winter of 2017 there was a batch of Hasbro TR Chromedome that showed up at Walmart with the Takara head. Is that variant sought after at all?
It's one of the few "rare" items that I've ever been lucky enough to stumble across in the wild.

 

Inexcusable. It's all 3D printed. Half that? Maybe, if they include all the sets. I mean, PE's kits tend to do that much for a figure(s) and it's $35-60.00. Injection molded, no less.

@Nevermore would probably recall, but i feel like enough turned up that it was figured to be legit ~ probably a mistake at the factory, but a legit variant.

Edit: oh, i reread @Smokescreen38's post and I see he was one of the ones that found one.

 

I think there we're like seven or so specimens sighted by two or three different people.

 

It was sought after when it was discovered, but until now I'm not sure I've seen it mentioned. That being said, I was hoping to find it. I had to settle for faceplate replacements that were released by third party.

 

I'm having a bit of a 'TF 1987' lovefest with my CHUG toys this week, and what could be more 1987 than these guys?
