As a modern model kit from a company like Bandai or Kotobukiya, it would definitely sell for 60,- or more.

If Bandai made this it most likely wouldn't have been a plastic turd.

Jobbby's review looked like pure entertaient but he was proffessional enough to state all the issues it had and he really helped me identify the issues before i encountered them. Nonetheless the feet design is really dumb. It works, but i still hate the design of the feet. They are basically floppy panels
To be honest, this quote alone is too kind:confused: . But thats why it might attract buyers! Like for mediocre novels!

20190703_112032.jpg 20190703_093646.jpg 20190703_093156.jpg I really like how it looks now. If no one else makes an idw megatron, this will be my idw megatron. Wish i bought generation toy's optimus to go with him, but i really am strapped for cash. Guess i paid big money for a passion project 20190703_095037.jpg 20190703_091402.jpg 20190703_084331.jpg 20190703_094840.jpg

Nice. Paint does help this guy a little but it's still an ugly, boxy, kibbly bot mode, a nightmare transformation and insanely fragile materials. The bot mode from the waist down is just ugly to my eye. The two alt modes aren't too bad, but the trial to get to them simply isn't worth it.
I bought mine knowing what I was getting, and expecting the worst and was still kind of shocked at how bad it felt in hand. And without a coat of custom paint, my god does it look cheap and sh!tty!

Mine only maintains it's shelf position as it's a unique design, a relative rarity of a toy and helps makes up for the shortage of Megatron figures at this size. Prime get's constant releases but big Megatrons are a little harder to find.

Well, kibble on the back isnt visible in front so i can live with that. I like IDW comics and its characters, and i welcome more of them. I will say that this isnt intended to be an MP figure althought it is in that scale. As with most idw figures, the design is more 'CHUG'. But with crappy engineering. However.. if i were to be honest, i really like it as it is now. Painted and tightened up. I wont transform it anytime soon, but as an action figure alone, i like the look of it. I wont recommend this to anyone. At all. But for me, it was worth it. Because i fixed it up. For those who want to try, i will say it isnt difficult. But it will take time and patience.

Great job! I don't own the figure (though all the talk about had me interested), but Vangelus gave it his toy of the year award a while back. Also - and more of a comment on the IDW Megatron thing - I read 'All Hail Megatron - and I thought Maketoys' version was pretty spot on.

Another poster (Potchez?) put up other pictures that this toy was homaging, and you are right, though - it does get the source material right.

So aside from painting (a given), what else can be done to this after purchase to improve it? Would tightening joints or connections help at all?
