They will for the toon style with amazing articulation crowd. For those that are fans of the Hasui style, the no, it will never be topped. Ever. No matter what FanaTics say.

Having said that, AJP dropped the price just slightly so that the amount one pays is $97 shipped to your door if you are in the US.

I was going to wait for the V2 (I still am, mind you) but at this price, it is simply hard to resist. This is one of the best MP's out there, and I have been Soundwave-less for a while. Incredible to think that I sold my 1st version close to $130, and I'm grabbing a new one for $40 less. While e-tailers want $150.

Bought. It will likely arrive pretty close to Bee. Nice ass haul.

reading all of this has made me very hesitant. i was finally looking to pick up an MP Soundwave for the Christmas time, but seeing everyone talk about the QC and the paint issues makes me, again, very hesitant to cough up the cash for a roll of the dice to get a good figure. At least, it seems this way. Is this reissue worth getting? Should I find the original MP-13 on ebay? i don't want to get a KO, mostly because that seems like another roll of the dice, and I have a bit of a code against those types of figures

 

I have the original release, a KO and the reissue. While my reissue has its issues, I would definitely go for it, unless you find the original release for a good price, moreso if it's the Hasbro version with all the tapes.

 

Yeah. I think I'm going to find the Hasbro version on ebay. I looked for it on ebay and there are ones with prices way too high, and then there are some with fair prices, considering age and condition. The only thing that scares me is I don't like the yellow eyes. I know there are mods, but replacing the eyes involves cutting into the figure itself. I have sausage fingers, and so I'm scared I might slice it up in the wrong way. But I think I can pull it off. That's what I'll get.

 

I received mine from AJP and it's perfect. As amazing as it was when I first bought it years ago. The only "QC issue" I have is the insignia having more white on the left border, if that make sense. Other than that, A+ release from TT. Ant it was only $97 shipped.

Are there any ways to loosen the thigh joint a bit so it doesn’t feel like it will snap? Since so many of us have this issue I’m hoping there might be a fix.

 

Which one? if you mean the ratchet, then not really unless you want it to get oily. If you mean the swivel, then just loosen the screws

 

Yeah, the ratchet. I’m thinking with time it will ease up a bit, it’s already a little better than when I got it just by posing it here and there.

I have 2 year of the whatever Soundwaves that I painted up years ago. Painting their eyes only involved removing a screw(as I remember). That said I picked up the THF KO for 40$ recently, and I think it's superior to the old TRU version I had back when it released.

 

I picked up the MP-13 reissue this past month, and QC issues aside, I really like it. I am surprised though that no one has ever offered a sticker set to "simplify" the details and give it a more cartoon look. I know Toyhax does offer the cel shaded window cover, but I'm referring to sections like the front of the shoulders, which have the silver and red detail accents on MP-13, but are solid blue in the cartoon. It seems like a simple sticker set covering those as well as white sticker accents for the legs would have been produced by someone by now.

He's been on a steady drop the past week and he's down to $97 shipped on Amazon.jp. Not quite where he was at the beginning of the month, but I missed that. His price hasn't changed in about the last 20 hours or so, so I just ordered him.

 

Well my timing was good. I bought him at 8,930 yen yesterday, and today he is 11,111 yen. So feeling good about that.
