I haven't really done any lubing/tightening to it, the upper arms are really tight when you first transform him but they are not so bad after flipping him a time or two. The knees are the only part on the whole figure that I am consciously careful with, but once you are used to the transformation they are not so bad. Other than that I've had no issues with him at all

 

Managed to snag the last available copy of Hydra (store display copy) at my local TF/1:6th store during my Boxing Day shopping spots.



Had a chance to fiddle with it in bot mode and got a floppy knee syndrome situation, will tighten up the knee joints slightly.

 

Is there a third party that offers both a G1 sixshot and greatshot in MP scale? I mean hydra looks great but I don't see a greatshot version of him anywhere.

 

Nope, sixshot only in mp as it stands.

 

What a shame then.

 

MMC's Hexatron was repainted into Great Shot, that's the closest you're going to get.

 

I could be totally wrong but didn't the folks who made Fumma (Gcreations/Generations toys/G-UNiT Toys or WHATEVER THEY WERE CALLED!!) Repaint Fumma or were planning to do that??

 

I just know they haven't done it, never heard of them planning on doing anything like that but maybe they were

 

I'm trying to decide if I should get FT-28 Hydra, D10 Hanzo, or D08 Blitzwing. So hard to decide, sigh...

 

Hydra rules but you can often find Hanzo for a bargain. I'd wait for FT on a Blitzwing though.

 

I have both Sixshots and while there are some things I prefer on Hanzo, Hydra is the overall superior Sixshot, and the most accurate, though I may prefer Hanzo's robot mode over Hydra's

 

Does anywhere Stateside still have Hydra? I'm in the same boat as StarchCraft.

Looking at Bobby Skullface review, he basically cracked one of the plastics while transforming it. How "robust" is Hydra exactly? Especially for someone who like to transform it while in boring meetings. Hydra's alt modes certainly looks a lot better IMO, but Hanzo seems to be tougher overall.

 

I'm hankering after a big-ass Sixshot and cannot decide between this fella and GT Fuuma. Argh.

 

He broke the shoulder, right? That doesn't happen if you know what to do (can't explain precisely, sorry)

Isn't the part he cracked the translucent canopy for tank mode when he went to plug the wings in for gun mode? If I'm remembering right that was partly user error. I don't believe he extended the wings out from the body (they side straight out from the torso, not the wing hinge themselves) to create proper clearance. It's been a long time since I watched it so I might be remembering wrong though. Either way translucent plastic has always been a weak point for any figure with it. Probably wasn't wise to use it as a tab in point. I've been fine so far, but I am careful when I use gun mode (which isn't often compared to other modes admittedly)

 

I will also wait for FT on all triplechangers.
