Cool but, I wonder if they changed the saber teeth to swivel into correct form for victory leo

 

I want to love it, but for whatever reason, I just can't go all in... I'm not sure what it is holding me back. I mean, it's a transforming version of Flame Toys with slightly different proportions, and I think a bit smaller? And I'd love those if it wasn't for the price... huh. Will certainly be keeping an eye on this, at least.

I agree. I think it's the lack of head-related bulking along with how much of the legs stay the same. And maybe the forearms?

 

It's based on Flame Toys' design for Victory Saber, that did the same thing:

Personally I like the lion chest better than the G1 design. But the base figure here just doesn't do it for me. Didn't capture the dynamic proportions of Milne's Star Saber in the comics.

I know what it is based on, and it doesn't look right either. It still looks like gao gai gar.

 

I don't hate it. I think the lion head on the chest makes sense, especially with the way PX Saber's L'il Saber fits in there, but something about it just seems off. I doubt he stays combined on my shelf too much, anyway, so it won't matter too much.

Looks fantastic. And the lion head on the chest isn't connected to anything so you can probably just leave it off if you don't like how it looks.

 

Finally. A transforming Victory Saber that fixes the one glaring flaw in the original design. As any true super robot fan knows: the lion's head always goes on the chest. Always. No exceptions.

My biggest worry is how well star saber's weak knees are going to handle all that extra weight up top. I'm afraid of how bad the stability will be for this combined mode that i desperately want to enjoy.

 

I need dark/evil repaints of this bcuz this is one of those molds/character looks that just begs to be on my Dark Counsel

 

I love it. Have zero issue with it looking like gao gai gar. Not like we had a Victory Saber in Idw to compare it too. Now I just gotta hope for replacement ratchets

This is really cool to see though. I think the Flame Toys one looks better in many ways, but this looks really good and I’m glad it’s happening.

 

looking like Gao Gai Gar is way cooler than just platform shoes and everything else in a backpack. It looks more cohesive
