So I took my Omega's head apart, as there was a smudge inside the face canopy, and his Head-Cannon was loose. (side note: I love that "Head-Cannon" is a real thing in Transformers, for it's play on "head-canon" :D )

Once I had it apart, I decided to pain it haphazardly. That was a mistake. I didn't take pics. Decided to remove it. Started with 70% rubbing alcohol. This took off only some of my paint job, but *ALSO* some of the underlying yellow paint.

I went and got some Super Clean®(Thank you, archived TFW2005 Radicons advice!), and let it do it's thing.

It took off *MY* paintjob, but left the original yellow paint (with some removed by the original rubbing alcohol. )

Ended up having the most success with Tamiya Colour X20-A Thinner. This took off the remaining original yellow paint. If you want to strip the yellow off of his face, start with that. I wish I had, lol.

Anyway, here are some pics of the final stripped face under his cleaned mask, in case anyone was wondering what that would look like. I'm gonna leave well enough alone at this point, and maybe try painting it orange and silver later.

As a review, I gotta say I love this toy. I love it so much that I'm spending more money on it to try and make it perfect, *AND* failing, *AND* keeping on trying and spending *MORE MONEY* to fix my mistakes. It is worth it. This toy rocks.

The cannon on my omegas head is very loose, i've tried to tighten the screw but no luck. I also tried to take the helmet apart with both screws but i cant get it to give. Any suggestions on how to help get the cannon stronger to stand up?

A dab of super glue did the trick for me

I suppose it happens to even the best of bots with cannon performance issues.

Tightening the screw (and being careful not to over tighten) generally works, including for the big red cannon.

If you can take apart the head, the cleanest (and reversible) way is to use tape. I use electrical / vinyl tape mostly and occasionally masking tape for tight clearances.

Taking apart the head seems to be easier for some people. Depends on how much and how strongly the glue inside is applied. I posted this guide on taking apart the head:
Various mods (of mods), custom stuff

A fancier approach is to cut out donuts of electrical tape to go around the cannon post although difficult to do that unless you have a sticker cutting machine. I have a cricut machine that cuts out exact donuts of tape so the tape doesn't show afterward. Easier way is to try putting a strip of thin masking tape on the post and hope that the cannon will still slide over it instead of crushing it to the side.

If you can't make tape work, then you can apply your thickener of choice directly on the post (Pledge, superglue).

No need to take the head apart. Future and a syringe or eye dropper and, boom, done and done.

I tossed up over this and Weijiang for a LONG TIME, in the end I went with Weijiang and couldn't be happier with this as my CHUG Omega. There's a couple of niggles with him but nowhere near as many as Hasbro's version - the official one has some really odd design choices, like the tiny track, the overhanging tank, the clear plastic claw and the weird legs/waist...

Meanwhile, Weijiang's tank is properly in scale and actually drives itself around the track, or on the floor on working tank treads. It's just SO MUCH better value for money in nearly every way.

Fun fact part of the elbow on Omega supreme is a different color than the corosponding part on the other arm,
the elbow armor part, one is light grey and the other is a darker grey

This is it for me right here..
"the tiny track, the overhanging tank, the clear plastic claw and the weird legs/waist.."

1st..the idea to make the claw translucent to mimic rocket flames OVER the look of a tough, claw is just a bad choice. They could have made it orange with the silver scratches and it WOULD HAVE LOOKED EPIC....
Dont care...the track is silly skinny with the tank on it.
I've had the money set aside in my head on which to buy...I cant help but think they dropped the ball on this one. Everytime I look at the Hasbro omega I see something new I dont care for.

Now...before the "defenders of Hasbro omega" decend upon me and ignite my soul with flame...

Keep this in mind...I have been a proponent of buying EVERY titan class they have made. Each is great..none are perfect.

Metroplex and fortmax are decent enough at what they do..
Devestator is killer..dont care what you say
Predaking is very good. See same shit above.
Trypticon is the best overall titan made.

    This one?

Nope. Sooo...I've been a huge proponent of titan class and want Hasbro to keep making them. When I see a design that deviates this much from what I want, at that price point..I'm out.

And noooo...these are not kids toys anymore. I'm pretty sure hasbro markets these and the studio as collector oriented figures, stating specifically that siege and ER are marketed to our collectors that grew up with G1 designs. I've said I'm bored of G1..but I wanted an updated Omega supreme...but unfortunately for hasbro... weijiang is getting my money. I know if my flag waving for titan class is over..its prolly over for alot more "less vocal" fans.

I think it's possible the "titan a year" thing goes away soon.

My copy has the very same thing. strange indeed.

Got mine from Amazon too. and ugh it wasn't cheap at $150+

On another note though, ROSS dress for less has Titans Return Trypticon for $49.99 right now. I picked one up Saturday afternoon.

Did Weijiang do a KO of the Siege OS or their own design? You’re not talking about Ultima Guard, are you?

Got this guy with the flash sale on Amazon. While I wasn't a huge fan of Trypticon either, I am not too impressed with Omega Supreme. My opinion may be skewed since I had a FT Omega fall into my lap at a decent price a couple weeks ago, but this thing just doesn't scream Omega Supreme for me. Maybe it is the fact that it doesn't have the bulk of Metroplex or Ft Max, or that it isn't as slavish to G1 (IMO) than others, but it just isn't that stand-out piece for me.

Perfect, that's what I want to do with mine, did you paint the entire legs/arms or just remove the damage effect?, if you just remove the damage effect, how do you do it?

I just used some 91% isopropyl alcohol on bits of paper towel to remove the battle damage. The paint strips very easily with some light rubbing.
