Confirmed. But the paint is very durable. Its application is same with the hand , which contact with the gun more than the head. If one manage to chip the paint on the head , that person need to take better care of the figure next time

So no need for a protective coat of future?

Cool can’t wait for this figure to come in. Also, any hint of plans for a ER Roller

Thanks guys, just hope it doesn't become sticky years down the road(issue on the Hasbro lines when they use gloss metallic paint)

Do you happen to know what brand paint is used. I am assuming it's just some industrial brand, but I've always wondered.

From official accounts, the paint used is proprietary to the manufacturing industry, and is illegal to distribute for consumer purposes (highly toxic in its raw, uncured state).

This looks like a 10/10 must own Voyager.

But that trailer looks bad in all modes.

How do I feel about throwing another trailer on the already way-too-big trailer storage pile? Hmmmm...

Thanks for the review. The Optimus Prime figure itself is alright despite some incredibly bizarre design choices or oversights (like the reused lower leg parts from the Siege Voyager figure, butt-flap wheels, or the choice to paint the hands with blue paint when the parts could've been molded with blue plastic instead), but I'm not really impressed with the trailer itself as the trailer itself looks quite short, with the lack of painted details and plastic color choice making the trailer looks rather cheap-looking.

I think casual fans and kids will like this figure and the trailer for what it is (and Earthrise Optimus doesn't look bad per say), but for me who still has both the Siege Voyager Optimus Prime and SS-38 Optimus Prime ...... I just can't say that I'm incredibly excited about this one.

Speaking of SS-38..... @computron179, can I see wherever the trailer itself can be hitched by SS-38 in truck mode? (If you have SS-38)

I don't have it but it looks like it would definitely fit. PrimeVsPrime has both maybe he could answer that more conclusively

The ER trailer might look a little weird because ER Optimus looks to be 1:60 scale and SS38 Optimus is closer to 1:48. So the trailer is going to have tiny wheels compared to SS38.

Yeah, I’m also not impressed with ER Prime. My issues with ER Prime are same as you pointed out.

I have SS-38 Prime and Siege Prime, and TakaraTomy Mall Siege Nemesis Prime ordered. I think I will skip ER Prime.

Yeah, *sigh*, the last movie line I truly enjoyed.
It's awesome that this new Prime's trailer is big enough to be able to use Breacher, adding yet another reason for me to look forward to it's release.

I got one of these and am looking to pass it along to the next lucky guy. Best Optimus ever.

PM me if interested. I put my namesake in the photo so you know I'm not full of it. reflector-prime.jpg
