In a way, I don't hope so, as the last versions are actually great BUT I understand that they did have a HUGE suckage about not having weapons (aside the Reflector mini weapon master with Shrapnel)...

I did get 3rd party weapons, and painted the gray to silver(which looks marvelous).. but as very little (silver or other) paint have been used on Siege, I don't believe they'll change that now.

 

i know i might be bring some bad mojo into this thread talking about KO's, but there's a shop called Miniso, its sorta like a Japanese clairs sorta? real kitschy? they have a small range of oversized knockoff bots, but one of them was CW Powerglide. If Earthrise doesn't put out PG, the OSKO isn't a bad alternative. I've got one on my MP shelf and he doesn't look out of place.

 

Funny you mentioned the old scout class, I was just thinking that Cliff is probably the same size as RTS scout class Windcharger.

 

this is intriguing how you can make two different 'base' modes, plus the robot mode...

when it comes to re-interpreting G1 with modern technology/sensability, this is the way to go...

I was very disappointed in how they translated the clones almost verbatim when they could have taken an extra step or two and really made them different but honoring the G1 idea

 

I have a hard time believing that my current Deluxe Warpath can be beat... but I'd like to see them try.

When it comes to "Ironworks" though...

 

Those statements are opinions. There's nothing to justify. Some people just would have rather it not have to be removable in the first place, and that is still the case.

Personally I've never cared about that part, but I've always said for a "shield" it looked dumb and impractical, and I don't think one good camera angle of him holding it changes that.

 

As a fan of Micromasters I hope they go all in on these modulator figures. Some voyager and larger versions would be nice to get as well. I just want to build a Micromaster city out of them

 

Ironworks is pure win in my book, and we didn't even see him used as armor in the video! I hope the other 3 micromaster bases are on the way... (the ones the same size as ironworks in g1: greasepit, the airport and the firehouse)

Okay so I see this and can’t help but think they HAVE to do a Modulator GodBomber/Apex armor for Leader Class Optimus it’s just too easy!

Awesome! Figured they would wait for this guy\'s review since he was the big reveal in this wave. Looks great and very happy with him, can\'t wait to play around with all his options. Sad to see the light grey panels however, but that\'s my only small gripe.

I love Insecticons and have 3 of each of these. But I'm almost certain that they purposely made them all look different in the torso design and even the colors. Flaws like these force most adult collectors to upgrade. So another group of these are coming and they'll likely be Deluxe's. And as far as "Scale" they could piggy back off the season 2 episode when they all doubled in size after eating that weird Energon stuff.

It's also probably the reason we never got more "Deluxe Insecticon's" out of the Kickback and Bombshell molds after they made Chop Shot out of Skrapnel.

They likely plan on making Deluxe Insecticon's out of Deluxe class figures moving forward thus doubling their income.

I wouldn't be mad though as long as they don't get the $eacon treatment.

 

It fits with the G1 version, which was a base that transformed from something benign (in this case an iron works) into a battle station. Both modes even resemble the originals.



The only part that sucks is his partner Micromaster from back in the day was part of that 10-pack. Which is starting to drop out of stores.

I'm sure it's been said, but based on the configurations of mini-base modes for Ironworks, we can easily get Hot House and Greaspit.

 

I’m more curious if these Modulators will get repainted into exclusives like the Weaponizers were repainted into the Powerdashers, and if so, repainted into what?
