Has anyone attempted to remove the pin connecting the ab plate to the underside of the hood on the Prowl/Bluestreak mold?

Bluestreak was my introduction to the mold ane I shared the same thoughts as you did, at first. It was the first Siege figure that reminded me of the frail looking SS deluxe figures, but it grew on me over time. It's a fun mold. I purchased all three autobots with no regrets.

I did that when I made a custom black resin copy of it. It's not difficult to push out.

Great. Do you remember which direction you pushed it out? Were you able to put it back into place?

Direction has been different on multiple copies that I’ve had, not much consistency

I don’t remember. I usually push first on the side of the pin that is slightly more indented.

I'm in the same camp. I bought Prowl and after unboxing him just left him on the shelf, my oldest son did not show any interest in him at all either. However I saw another member make shoulder canons for him using firedrive and another painted the thighs and torso on him so I though why not. After that something about grew on me and I ended up getting all of the mold mates. I still kinda feel the back of the legs are it's weakness and proportions seem a little off. BUT, it's a cartoon character that I am reminiscing about and though it might have been done better, it's the best one I have and it sure moves a whole lot better than the G1 mold that I remember playing with as a kid over at Jake's next door. - Oh and thanks Jake for introducing me to the Transformers, and Playmobil, and Astroboy - I appreciate you too!

Crimson Fists eh? Omega should makea good Warlord Titan proxy. :)

My old 40k buddies have been tying to get me back into *that* hobby for ages. I keep telling them I got no money for that and TF's.

Toying with the idea of borrowing a Knight codex and just using my Siege figures.

I can pick you up one but with shipping it could be 13-15$ unless I find him on sale.. which would again be similar to amazon price. I’ll scoop an extra if I see him tonight just Incase anyone is looking, I’m going out hunting tonight..

The yellow is closer to the paint on Impactor's shins than the plastic color, but it's not super noticeable being on the inside of his shins/obscured by shadow. The only color change I might implement would be to put some black inside his cannon to make it more dynamic. The kit feels good, feels like it has less print lines than Matrix Workshop, more comparable to Shockwave Lab products, but I'm no expert.

What a sight to behold! I know not everyone was happy with Siege between the battle damage, kinda-sorta cybertron modes and the changes to leader class, but to me it's been the best non-MP toyline we've gotten in years. T30, the Prime Wars trilogy and Studio Series all had some excellent figures here and there, but Siege really makes me want to pick up at least one from each unique mold. Hell, as much as I'm usually not into collecting repaints, my recently acquired Siege Screamer makes it really hard to resist buying the other five seekers as well.

I know that both Siege Optimus Prime and SS-38 Optimus Prime won't be the most definitive choices for the ultimate G1 CHUG Optimus Prime toys for any longer with the upcoming Earthrise Optimus Prime will be released soon, but I just can't fully bring myself to buy that upcoming Earthrise Optimus with all of the odd design choices on that particular figure (Painted blue hands when the parts can just be molded in blue plastic instead, odd-looking waist, cheap-looking trailer that makes my custom DIY trailer for my Siege Optimus looks premium).

    [IMG] [IMG]

For now, these two figures do the job as the definitive pair of CHUG G1 Optimus Prime toys in my collection incredibly well (Siege Optimus for the Cybertronian mode, SS-38 for Earth mode) and until something better coming up in the future that can top them, I'm keeping these two incredibly well-done figures.
