Small update an old acquaintance got in touch with me and told me the remaining SS figures yet to be revealed for 2020.

This is important so Read this part

( ( this acquaintance and i go back a few years back to the start of Combiner Wars and back then provided rumors for CW and TR some of which were true. However !! He hung me out to dry and made me the fall guy for some info that didnt pan out and i cut contact. ))

So bare that in mind when i say i dont trust this guy for a second there are a few things that he says thst yes line up with other credible info but still i don't believe this and nor should any of you.

Aside from giving the car mode a roof what else can they do to make this visually distinct from the DOTM one? Did Sideswipe change designs in between films?

 

the robots were identical, so that leaves the roof, headlights and the wheels in altmode.

there is something very sassy looking about this pose for SS-54 Megatron that Amazon.com used for their promo image

 

He also used it to knock Sam off the roof after delivering the line "Oh, so unwise."

I am well looking forward to getting this megatron.

 

True, it's not perfect, but I'm pretty sure that a lot of the robot mode heights are actually official.

Yes, I opened them in the office. Everyone else is off after the work do, and I wanted a nice little pick me up. They look great, not had anything pop off Shatter (yet), nothing seems floppy. Dropkick looks awesome. Does anyone have a link to the shatter door wing mod? I'm having trouble finding it.

 

Ratchet, Bee and Ironhide scale really well, is just once again Optimus should be a bit taller, well, that and Jazz, but my issue would be with Optimus.

 

I'm curious how well the Revoltech DOTM Bee would fit in with all of these. My thinking is he might be too big but it's worth looking into.

Yeah the flail looks really disappointing, especially since it can't bend or keep a pose. I'm gonna hope for DNA or Dr wu to make something for him since I'm definitely not buying this one again (I might not have gotten him in the first place if it weren't for the fact that I'm starved for SS stuff right now).

I dont understand the upscale question, You want to know witch 2007 bots look the best in scale?
If that is the question, I would say STudio Series Bee, Jazz, Ironhide with HFTD Ratchet and Ultimate Optimus Prime..
Jazz is 15 feet, Bee 16, Ratchet 20, Ironhide 22 and Optimus 28 right?
These guys work great in both vehicle and botmodes.


Never mind the arms of Prime, I am still working on them (hard to get them the way I want them to work)

 

So I decided why not and picked up KSI Boss.
Wow the paint job looks so stunning in person! He looks damn great.
Complaints - the crotch section, much like my Nitro Zeus, doesn't peg too well (although it pegs better than Nitro). Thundercracker's crotch section is the only one I have that pegs great.
The head is also very easy to detach, annoying when you're transforming him and you reach the step where you have to move the panel and head is on, you're likely to just pull off the head instead.

 

Now that I cut off the tabs, I can definitely say I'm liking the figure itself a lot more.

I know that both Siege Optimus Prime and SS-38 Optimus Prime won't be the most definitive choices for the ultimate G1 CHUG Optimus Prime toys for any longer with the upcoming Earthrise Optimus Prime will be released soon, but I just can't fully bring myself to buy that upcoming Earthrise Optimus with all of the odd design choices on that particular figure (Painted blue hands when the parts can just be molded in blue plastic instead, odd-looking waist, cheap-looking trailer that makes my custom DIY trailer for my Siege Optimus looks premium).



For now, these two figures do the job as the definitive pair of CHUG G1 Optimus Prime toys in my collection incredibly well (Siege Optimus for the Cybertronian mode, SS-38 for Earth mode) and until something better coming up in the future that can top them, I'm keeping these two incredibly well-done figures.
