By both the G1 toy and cartoon the Aerialbots have backpacks. I can accept that. But Fans Toys put a lot of engineering effort into making Maverick less of a brick under a plane. I didn't expect them to do the same with the limbs, since they need to be kind of blocky to pull of their limb modes, but you think they could have done it in reverse to at least shrink the backpack down to, I dunno, not bigger than Zeta's.

I'll reserve final judgement until I have Goose in hand, but so far the Aerialbots seem closer to Fans Toys from the previous two years than the Fans Foys that's doing their Stunticons.

Even Zeta is better than that and their bot modes are fairly meh at best (outside of their Silverbolt).

Yes, people don't display figures backwards, but when backpacks start majorly eating up shelf space behind each one, it's a bit annoying!

 

Or it could be mistransformed out of the box just like a bunch of recent FT figures.

Let's wait till more people have it on hand.

yeah they were really cheap feeling and loose in bot mode especially the arm bots their whole torso would fall apart

A lot of ppl complained and ridiculed mp44/mp39/mp28/mp45, I'm just wondering if backpacks are now acceptable seeing as Fanstoys are joining in

Thanks for the link, easily will look over that big backpack because the figure itself looks top notch in quality and transformation design is done well. The alt mode is also great I like that you can fit a figure in the cockpit.

 

Holy smokes. It's an Arielbot with a "toon" and "toy" accurate backpack.. but people still complain.

 

I wonder if he's compatible with the FT flightstands?

 

Neither official or unofficial backpacks bother me . I knew these guys would have them as well due to there past history . As long as there not in the way of there articulation , I think it’s fine .
