    Depends on continunity and his robot mode.... I would say Jet / Space jet as in 2007 movie or TFP is my favourite but for a more G1 shaped bot i think the tank suits him better.

    You forgot to add RID 2001 Megatron, who could transform into five different things (six if you include the non-official alt mode) including a giant hand.

    But the best alt mode was the Walter P-38. You could actually use it to rob a liquor store.

    I have to agree with that.
    I'm not a fan of Animated, but that is the only Megatron design - except for the original gun Megatron maybe, and BW Megs still rules Supreme to me but he's a different character - that I really like.
    I always thought Galvatron was way cooler than Megatron.
    The tank idea is a practical solution to incorporate his cannon in alt mode, but it's a bit boring.

    ALL of it. Megatron is a jack of all alt modes, master of none! LOL :)
