I'm fine with my Megatrons being larger than my primes. It makes Megs look that much more intimidating. It's kind of like the scale between Overlord and Ginrai. It just makes Overlord that much more of a threat.

 

Thing is, we never really got a good shot of them side by side, so the difference in scale isnt a huge deal imo

It just doesn’t make sense. TWO heads taller? 07 megatron who was very clearly bigger than Prime was that much bigger but it’s clear that he was smaller in subsequent movies. Plus in general the scale is making these toys too big for my shelves. I don’t want everything to be this huge. MPM scale is perfect to me but these 3rd party figures and KOs just keep getting bigger and bigger when is it gonna stop?

What happened was UT said “you wanna be a head taller!? A HEAD TALLER” and megatron said “no I want two”

 

Ok, we've established he's taller, get him in a decent pose opposite Challenger and it won't matter.

People keep bringing it up like the height is somehow going to change.

Not sure how legit the movie scale chart is, but it's almost an exact match for the characters.

For the first trilogy, yeah, but Megatron shrank when he was turned into Galvatron and kept this height for TLK:

 

Except it’s not. If you are happy with the figure as is and you like the scale then that’s one thing, but if it’s not correct then it’s not correct. See the chart below. First trilogy scale doesn’t matter for aoe and TLK.

Don't worry man. This is tfw2005, there's always people trying to steamroll other people's opinion even when it's true.

 

I believe that chart is not official and it doesn't reflect what we saw in the movie.

 

I think that, in AOE, the KSI made Galvatron after Optimus so it makes sense if he is equal in height with Optimus. We may consider Galvatron as Nemesis Prime. Megatron in TLK is huge but that's Megatron, not Galvatron, and unfortunately Bay didn't explain how.

 

Some people prefer the scale from the chart, others prefer the scale from the actual film.

Doesn't mean anyone is wrong and both sides can be argued with evidence.

Everyone can buy the figures that suit their idea of 'right'.

For me, Dragoon fits the 'in movie' scale which is what I want.

 

I just want a giant space marauder that turns into a giant space marauder ship, I'm getting what I want.
