This looks like a cute little show, definitely interested to see how it turns out, and if there will be any other toys like that reverse pretender. You say that like these are a bad thing.
Well, I guess we know we won’t be seeing Bludgeon in this series. Or maybe they can make him look completely uncool by giving him a paintball helmet instead of a skull!
This is why I'm more or less interested in this series - the toys. Looks like some new figures, which is always a good thing. ...really? I don't think Dragonball really conveys that story very well if at all. Gonna go out on a limb here and make that assumption that most kids watching Dragonball aren't setting down their teakettle and going: "Oh jolly good. A ripping animated series borrowing form the Chinese epic tale about a monk seeking to redeem a mischievous monkey king." Even if you make the assumption that Dragonball does properly pay homage to the story of Sun Wukong, it would be silly for Transformers to try to shoulder their way into that space. Dragonball ostensibly has a lock on that.
I'm guessing Bludgeon would be safe. He isn't completely yellow, have dotted eyes and wear some sort of red *Cough*Pac-Man.*Cough*And Pooh.*Cough*
All of the chinese-characters are clearly designed by the guy that designed the robots for RID2015, it makes this even more bizarre.
What do you mean? Or maybe a Yamato Takeru X Transformers I guess ever since the live-action films, Hasbro really likes the 'Transformers in ancient history' scenario. It'd most likely be in the same continuity (which I like and for the better). Whenabouts exactly, we've yet to find out. Self-insert? Not to mention, Bludgeon has a Samurai motif, something that's associated with Japan. Though ironically, both Drift and Windblade appear in Cyberverse anyway. But we don't exactly see them in the teaser trailer either, so who knows... Funny enough, Toei Animation worked on both DragonBall and the 80s Transformers G1 series.
Well, they musta removed the "Fish logo" on Uncle Stan's fez in the Chinese airing/dub of Gravity Falls for some sort of reason. Honestly, i'm baffled by that too.
Man something about transformers fist fighting is awesome! I know lazers and missles and null rays a great, but -and maybe its buts the 80 movie fan in me, i love to watch giant robots roc em soc em. If Nezha displays some cool king fu moves in that fight he has against megatron he might become one of my favorite new characters. And yeah the animation and production on this look great. Hopefully I can watch it without too much trouble
This has caught my attention well enough, I'll give it a chance should it be translated as previously indicated.
I just thought you should know that Hasbro has a history of catering to the national sensibilities of its customers. And...
