With Dalianjj on the board, sometimes it does happen that he adds in some early comments or updates, lol.

But honestly, i think we will see FT Blitzwing and more FT Stunticons/Aerialbots colored pics first, just cause...

Seing the digibash, even i am very tempted by this actually (even with my existing KO MP Soundblaster), but only if the white is painted like Spoiler or FT-10X or FT Maverick, otherwise, i would wait for a maybe (if there is demand) Soundblaster repaint of it later, if still interested in a few years when either releases.

MP-13 who ?

Based on that pic, it loos like they are getting rid of most of the unnecessary detail MP 13 has (that I have always disliked)

Bizarre, as FT is supposed to follow the "Hasui aesthetic". This looks like a very cartoon accurate Soundwave to me.

Maybe it is because it's an unpainted proto, but the headsculpt has NOTHING on TT's version.

 

Man I just bought takara’s re-release and it’s terrible. Sand under the paint, legs stiff like they’re gonna snap off and just uninspiring.

This looks fantastic no matter what the cassette or paint situation is I know FT will make it feel premium.

I have a first release Takara Soundwave and he's starting to fall apart, just standing on the shelf. Seams are starting to grow gaps, and some of the joints creak that never made a sound before. Since Soundwave is my oldest transformer, it's worrying me about the future of my collection.

 

feet a bit wide at the bottom unlike any G1 soundwave model/toon before it. still thats the weakest part of takara's design too...and he is missing some sculpting around the knee/lower leg. the back of the leg is less clean too. hopefully the artculation will be better than takara's. so far the sculpting is a mixed bag but mostly worse IMO. see, i like the g1 toy homage hips...but its less toon accurate i guess. the gun is wrong too. hipskirts...unsure about them.

 

My take:  

I just don't like how plain it looks. Boring, Flat, lifeless, everything I hate about the new MP style. That, the head sculpt looks off, and just doesn't look like the soundwave I know despite walking off the screen.

BUT! I clad people like it, He'll probably be a great figure, hell transformation, all that good stuff. I just don't like how it looks.
