I tried that on mine, it doesn't seem to help much. Could you post a picture?

As far as I can tell from examining mine, the flap that covers the thigh is colliding with the hinge assembly for the head. Even with everything straight and even, there's not enough clearance.

Ok, hold on I think I figured it out! When youre folding up the leg, make sure that the Hip-joint armor is facing DOWN. Like, so the hip joint itself is upwards.

You see what I mean? do it like this and it should be much more solid.

See? Much more solid and flush.

Dude, did you read any of the thread before you posted? It's being discussed only a couple of posts before yours.

Yeah, that last photo is as good as it gets. But you get the feeling the overall intention was for there to be no gap at at all between the pink torso/tail piece and the faux cockpit.

I don't believe we've seen a pic of this guy with the other Scavengers yet, have we? Would anyone be able to show how he looks by Krok, Misfire, Skytread, and Grimlock?

But look, the part of the cockpit just past that gap becomes perfectly flush. That's clearly how it was designed to go.

Found this dude at Target this morning. So be on the lookout there as well as your Walmarts if you haven’t found this wave yet.

He’s wonderful. A perfect update to the 1988 original and a great finish to the Siege deluxes. Ready for Earthrise!

The facesculpt on this figure is downright fantastic. Siege really is going out with a bang.

Tons with Misfire, Flywheels and Krok. Check out the appreciation thread.

Ok, one other issue. Anyone else have trouble getting his feet-wing-things symmetrical in vehicle mode?

Great tip. The faux cockpit on my copy still doesn't snap together but it sits flush with the body of the helicopter. Good enough for me.

The leg transformation feels more complex than it needs to be especially since everyone seems to have trouble getting the fake leg cockpit to stay pegged in. I hope this doesn't frustrate the chilluns too.

    Pros:
    * Excellent robot mode, with a bold color scheme (even if it does make him look a bit like he's wearing bell-bottom blue jeans.)
    * Above-average articulation, even for Siege.
    * Weaponry and mounting holes are pretty versatile.

    Cons:
    * Copter mode is kinda derpy and box-fort-looking, but that can be written off as 'Cybertronian', which puts it notches above other Decepticon flying Siege-bricks.
    * Transformation is a bit annoying, in that "parts need to be moved out of the way so other parts can move, but moving them out of the way would be easier if you could move the part that need to be unblocked" sort of way. Also, that faux canopy doesn't peg in place in vehicle mode so good a lot of the time.

Overall: It's a pretty nice toy, especially in robot mode, but if you don't connect with the alt mode or the character, it might personally leave you a little flat, as the design is slightly generic in style, if not color scheme.

The Siege line has been pretty great across the board but with the deluxes they managed to save the best for last: Impactor, Mirage, and Barricade were all great but I think Spinister might just be the best in the line. An inventive and fun transformation (just remember to flip the hip joint when going into hip mode like @Greeman said), great articulation, and fanstastically eye-searing colors all work together to make a damn near perfect Transformer.

He could've used a greater range of neck articulation and the extra cockpit in copter mode is a bit distracting, but those are some picky nits. I absolutely love this guy.

The articulation in this guy is fantastic. Only real problems are the foot tabs being a little difficult and the fake cockpit not tabbing in all the way, but it's still a great figure. If they did a Marvel colors repaint I might even double-dip.

In terms of the faux canopy clicking in- I've come to the conclusion that you can't NOT have all the way in if you have every thing else clicked in right:

Feet need tabbed in to lock the ankle articulation
Hip needs pointing UP for faux cockpit
True cockpit hip needs pointing the usual way, DOWN
    Arms need locked into torso
Feet/wings need tabbed to centre pelvis
Feet/wings need tabbed in to arms/engines

Do all that just right the faux cockpit sits tight underneath, but the friction isn't between the cockpit and the tail, it is all those blue parts of the pelvis and wings.

Someone mentioned in one of the other threads that they had some cracking occur where the faux cockpit pegs in for alt mode. Anyone else have that issue? Kinda got me worried.
