I'm not super impressed with Bumblebee...he looks good from the front, but I think he has too many compromises...gappy backpack and horrible feet. He's not a bad figure, but i don't get a definitive vibe from him. Hound looks more promising, though.

I'm really not impressed by mp45, he's the only masterpiece that I'm not keeping! I am definitely getting hound but I am probably going to hold off on the first run because I'm a bit sick of having initial run figures with breaks/knee/paint problems straight out of the box.

Honestly cannot wait. I love this new era of hyper articulation and slavish toon aesthetic. The more the merrier.

But then my only issue with mp45 is his slightly crooked Autobrand, everything else is spot on and MP44 is utterly glorious.

 

My impression of Bumblebee 2.0 is that he brings out the best in Prime 3.0! He's not quite as good a figure as Prime, Megatron, Sunstreaker, and the Fusos, but I think they did as much as they could at his diminutive size. The heels aren't great, the backpack is much better in person when transformed correctly but is still very busy, and he hardly has any waist rotation, but the positives far outweigh the negatives for me. Still has tons of useful articulation and can pull of nearly any pose you can think of, his transformation is relatively quick and fun, I love his car mode interactivity and functionality, and he oozes life and personality. Definitely the best toy representation of Sunbow produced, Toei animated, Gilvezan voiced G1 Bumblebee ever produced.









@Temp1 , Bumblebee only gets me pumped for Hound, though I'm cautiously optimistic. I got two copies of Bumblebee and one copy is great but the other has three major paint flaws, so hopefully qc will be tight on Hound. Both my copies of Prime are fantastic, no issues, knees are still fine, so that helps my optimism.

 

SO for those that ordered there's from Amiami and live in the USA about how much was your shipping cost trying to get a rough estimate about how much ima pay for this guy when i order it friday

 

Finally got him!!! He’s perfect, except for one minor thing; his right foot isn’t perfectly flat on the bottom for some reason, but once his weight is on it, it flattens out. If anyone has any ideas please let me know! Other than that, I’m so glad I finally own an Optimus Prime!

 

Also, how do you get these to sit flush against the sides? I didn’t wanna push them too hard, but they’re bothering me...

 

They need to be modded to sit flat, unfortunately

Huh! That’s weird, since every promo pic of him have them sitting flush. So I assume everyone’s copy comes like mine?

Makes sense. Do any copies come without the flash? I guess what I’m asking is, does everyone need to mod theirs to sit flush? I just watched Emgo’s review and his sit flush against the sides (not sure if he modded his or not).
Oh well, I guess I’ll take a look at it and mess with it when I have some time.

That's good to know. Guess tolerances differ by copy.

Both of mine don't sit flush and would require cutting. Haven't attemted the mod myself but others have.

Lucky! The ones that don't sit flush are also the ones that end up scratching the orange paint on the truck mode headlights. The mod is more useful than only aesthetics IF you have the issue.
